Course Title:
LIT 2 – WORLD LITERATURE
Course Description:
This course covers the literature of the world from the beginning of the civilization to the present representative works of the known
master writers will be carefully analyzed and interpreted.

Credits – 3 units
Prerequisite – Lit 1
No. of hours – 3hrs/week

Learner Description:
Bachelor of Secondary Education – Fourth Year

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the semester, the students are expected to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding about the:
1. Explain the characteristics of the different literatures of the world.
2. Identify from the sample literary pieces the culture, belief, tradition, and life-values of the people.
3. Associate the literary works and periods to our own time and situation.

1. To prepare educators who are equipped with relevant and effective teaching methods and techniques fit to the general
characteristics of young learners under the fact changing time.
2. To produce teachers who can use technology as an effective tool in imparting knowledge and skills to students.
3. To turn out graduates who exemplifies good character, moral standards and commitment to duty.
4. To produce graduates who are experts in their own life of specialization are in line with K-12 Basic Education Program.
