Identifying the problem:

INTRODUCTION:
Transportation is an extremely important policy issue for those with disabilities. People with
disabilities have consistently described how transportation barriers affect their lives in important
ways. Over the last two decades the National Organization on Disability (NOD) has sponsored
three successive Harris polls with people with disabilities, and respondents in each survey have
reported that transportation issues are a crucial concern. In the last survey, undertaken in 2004,
just under a third of those with disabilities reported that inadequate transportation was a problem
for them; of those individuals, over half said it was a major problem. The more severe the
disability of the respondent was, the more serious were the reported transportation problems.

 Come from different types of place.
 Safety and security.
 Comfort.

 Sexual harassment in transport
Identifying Decision Criteria:

Decision criteria are factors that are important to solve the problem. The factors in which we are
going to concentrate are given following:

1. Price: Here, we 1st analyses the price of our product that which product we can afford by price
& highest weight.
2. Mileage: In this we analyses the mileage of our product which can give us the highest
mileage.
3. Capacity: Capacity is most important part of our product. In this part we choose the product
which capacity is more flexible then other product.
4. Service: It is also one of the most important part of our analyzing product. If we provide low
quality service then it’s hard to hold our business aim. So, here we see which product can give us
a best quality service to our customer.
5. Engine quality: Our main focus is transportation .So, Engine quality of our product have to
must better, long lasting & also have to concern about our environment.

Allocating weights to the criteria

The criteria are not all inessential. A.B.M Garments LTD has to choose what the most essential
criteria to choose carrying service are. A.B.M Garments LTD must weigh the criteria in order to
give them the actual priority in the arrangement. The weight width is 1-10. A value near 10
denote that the law is more important and the criteria has value near 1 is less important.

Evaluating the Decision’s Effectiveness:

In this step the outcome of the decision has been evaluated by using two tools. This are- SWOT
and PESTLE analysis.

SWOT

 Strengths :
 This decision will save the transportation cost and valuable time of managers and
employees.
 As these buses will pick managers and employees from their houses, everyone
will be on time in the workplace.
 The quality of these buses is so good. These can provide service for a long time
without any need for reparation.
 This transportation service can work as a motivation for the employees. They will
feel more interested to come to the workplace.
 Weaknesses :
 As these are mini buses, not all employees can travel at a time.
 The appearance of these buses is very poor.
 Bearing extra cost for buying these buses will decrease company’s fund.

 Opportunities :
 Because of this transportation facility, company can prove to other people that
how much it care for its employees. As a result, many job seekers will be
interested to work in this company.
 This decision will attract even the employees from the other organizations.
 By highlighting this in media and putting logo on these buses, our company can
promote itself.
 Threats :
 Uncertain political situation can be a threat for these buses.
 By seeing us, other companies will also provide mini bus for their employees.

PESTLE

 Political :
 The result of political instability can eventually be perilous for these buses.
 Economic :
 The tax on vehicles is very high. That means company will have to bear a huge
cost for these buses.
 Social :
 By providing transportation service, company can conform to its core ethics,
which include ensuring benefit for its employees.
 Technological :

 Legal :
 This decision can ensure safety standards, which are imposed by the law,for the
employees.
 Environmental :
 These buses are not eco-friendly. The toxic smoke of these can be harmful for
environment and the health of the employees.
Conclusion: We have done 8 step decision making process to solve our company’s problem. After
identifying the problem we have analyzed the alternatives and selected _ as the solution for the problem.

Then we have implemented it and evaluated the effectiveness of our decision. By doing that we have
solved our company’s problem quite effectively. This decision will surely benefit our company and we
can resolve any kind of problem by following these steps in future.
