 Activity 9 - Gerunds and Infinitives

Write a text about your life; One paragraph about your work, one paragraph about your
family, one paragraph about your studies, one paragraph about your dreams and one
paragraph about your friends. Underline 10 infinitives and 10 gerunds that you used during
the text.

Family paragraph

My family is very happy, my father is a very responsible person, he hates being

late for work, my mother has been a dancer since she was 10 years old, she says
that dancing is good for health, dancing involves spending many hours, she was
invited to Another city to participate in a contest, I was leaving the city for the first
time, my father was a little worried about her, I try to call her but I don't answer
her phone.

Studies paragraph

Starting my studies involved moving to another city, I can't imagine living

anywhere other than my homeland, but I needed to start my studies so I couldn't
risk further postponing the start of my professional career. I made the decision to
study public accounting, my studies require investing time, this career is not
studied if you do not intend to dedicate many hours to it, I prefer to be the best so I
will start working on my degree project I will also start taking English classes.
My teachers do not stop sending me daily activities. I would like to take a vacation
but I don't like asking permission in my classes.
