Synchronization Module — Type 7530

Synchronization Module Type 7530
generates a synchronization signal
for trigger control. It also generates
a system clock signal for synchro-
nized data sampling.
A single synchronization module is
the system controller for all Type
3561 frames, regardless of the
number of frames in the system.
The front panel of the Synchroni-
zation Module Type 7530 has the fol-
lowing inputs/outputs:
❍ Trigger Input: A BNT socket that
can be used as an external trigger
(see Fig.1).

❍ Synchronization Output: The syn-
chronization signal is the signal
which controls the start of a meas-
urement (and/or trigger condi-
tions). A BNT socket sends the
synchronization signal to the LAN
interface module in frame 1. If
there is more than one frame, the
synchronization output on the
LAN module is connected to the
synchronization input on the LAN
module in frame 2 and so forth, so
that all frames in the system are
synchronized by the same synchro-
nization module.
