“What is Religion?”

Personally, I think religion is one of many factors that keeps people sane and in a way it
kind of reassures about a lot of things that are unknown or unexplained. It is a system of
different doctrines and teachings. People continue to seek refuge in religion because over the
course of history, no one has found the absolute answer to life's profound questions, such as
identity or purpose of existence. Religion offers this in an emotional and spiritual sense that
speaks to the soul, and often transcends the common understanding. It also has a standard of
morality which serves as a guide on how we are to live this earthly life. In most cases, it's
supported by worship or has become deeply rooted in tradition.
