General Notice No. 458 of 2020

NOTICE UNDER SECTION 78 OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH ACT
Notice is hereby given that section 78 of the Public Health Act provides that where any part of Mauritius appears
to be threatened with, or is infected by any dangerous epidemic, endemic, infectious or communicable disease,
the Minister may by notice published in the Gazette, direct that sections 79 to 83 of the Public Health Act shall be
applicable to Mauritius.
2. NOW THEREFORE, in view of the fact that Mauritius appears to be threatened with, or infected by, Coronavirus,
notice is hereby given that sections 79 to 83 of the Public Health Act shall apply to Mauritius.

General Notice No. 459 of 2020

ORDER UNDER REGULATION 3 OF THE QUARANTINE
(QUARANTINABLE DISEASES) REGULATIONS 2020
Notice is hereby given that having regard to the prevalence of a quarantinable disease worldwide,
I am satisfied that denial of entry of a conveyance into Mauritius is necessary to prevent a danger to public
health in Mauritius, including the spread of infection of a quarantinable disease in Mauritius, I am, by order,
in respect the arrival any conveyance in Mauritius, prohibit the conveyance, excluding any conveyance
transporting goods, from entering the territory of Mauritius as from 10:00 am on 19th March 2020 for a
period of 15 days.

General Notice No. 460 of 2020

ORDER UNDER REGULATION 5 OF THE QUARANTINE
(QUARANTINABLE DISEASES) REGULATIONS 2020
Being satisfied that the prohibition of the boarding on, or disembarkment from, the conveyance of a person
is necessary to avert a danger to public health, including the prevention of the spread of a quarantinable
disease in Mauritius, I am, by order, prohibiting any passenger, excluding crew members, from boarding or
disembarking from a conveyance as from 10:00 am on 19th March 2020 for a period of 15 days.
