Introduction
Linkus is a VoIP Mobile Client coordinated with Yeastar S-Series VoIP PBX and Yeastar Cloud PBX.
Linkus makes your mobile phone an office extension and links you and your colleagues and customers
anywhere anytime. Make and receive calls through corporate phone network to slash call costs and
enhance efficiency with consistent in-office experience.

Getting Started
Install Linkus mobile client and log in the Linkus.

Install Linkus on Android Phone


The Linkus App must run on Android version 4.4 or later.
Download Linkus client from Google Play Store
Search "Yeastar" in Google Play Store to find Linkus and download the application.
Scan QR code and download Linkus client

Phone Network Settings


Before using Linkus, please make sure that the network settings on your phone are configured correctly.
You can choose Wi-Fi network or cellular data for your phone.
It is better to enable both Wi-Fi and cellular data on your phone. In this way, Linkus will keep working
through the cellular data if you are not in the Wi-Fi zone.
Note:
We strongly recommend that you perform your initial setup from within a "known" network, such as
in your company or in your home, but not in a public network such as an internet café.

Log in Linkus Client

Once the Linkus has been downloaded and installed on your phone, you can see the icon on your
phone. Tap the icon to launch Linkus.
Note:
• For the first-time login, you need to allow Linkus to send notifications when the application is in
the background.
• For the first-time login, you need to confirm whether to allow Linkus to access Contacts from
your phone. If you allow this action, Linkus will continually synchronize with your native contacts.
You have multiple ways to log in Linkus client.

Log in Linkus via QR Code


If you got an e-mail with the subject "Login Linkus Mobile Client" from the PBX administrator, you can log in
Linkus via QR code.
Note:
• After receiving the e-mail, you must log in Linkus client with the QR code within 2 hours, or the
QR code will expire.
• The QR code will expire after you log in the Linkus client.

1. Open the e-mail on your PC.


2. Open Linkus mobile client, tap the QR button, and scan the QR code in the e-mail.
The Linkus client will get the login information and log in automatically.

Log in Linkus via Login Link


If you got an e-mail with the subject "Login Linkus Mobile Client" from the PBX administrator, you can log in
Linkus via login link.
Note:
• After receiving the e-mail, you must log in Linkus client with the login link within 2 hours, or the
link will expire.
• The login link will expire after you log in the Linkus client.
1. Open the e-mail on your mobile phone.
2. Select and copy the Linkus login link which is in the e-mail.
3. Open Linkus mobile client, you will be prompted to log in Linkus with the copied link.
4. Click OK to get the login information and log in Linkus.

Log in Linkus Manually


Get the Linkus login information from the PBX administrator, and enter the login information manually to
log in Linkus.
1. Launch Linkus mobile client.
2. Tap Server Settings.
3. On the Configure Server Address window, enter the server address and port.
Note:
• If you want to use Linkus via the office Wi-Fi when you are in your office, you can enter the
local IP and port. The office Wi-Fi should be in the same local network of the PBX.
• Local Hostname/IP: (Optional) Enter the local hostname/IP of the PBX.
• Local Port: (Optional) Enter the local port of Linkus server.
• External Hostname/IP: Enter the external hostname/IP of the PBX.
• External Port: Enter the external port of Linkus server.

4. Tap OK.
5. On the Linkus login page, enter your username and password.
• Username: Enter your extension number.
• Password: Enter the User Password of the extension.
6. Tap Login.

Edit Your Profile


1. Tap on the bottom of the screen to enter Me page.
2. Tap your profile to view the detail.

3. Tap Edit to edit your profile.

Interaction between Linkus & Native Phone


Outgoing Calls
• You can make a native call regardless of the state of Linkus.
• Calls from Linkus can be made if not on a native call.
Incoming Calls
• An incoming call to your extension will ring Linkus if you are not on a native call.
Established Calls
• If you accept an incoming native call, you could not handle the call by Linkus.
• If you make a call from Linkus, you can record the call or transfer the call on Linkus.

Make Calls from Extensions List


Tap at the bottom of the screen to view all the PBX's extension users. You can call the extension users
from the Extensions list.
1. Tap an extension user to view the user's information.

2. Choose the user's extension number or mobile phone number, tap to call the number.

Note:
• If you call a user's mobile number on Linkus, the bill is charged to the PBX.
• The number you want to call should match PBX's outbound route, or the call will fail.

Make Calls from Contacts List


Tap at the bottom of the screen to access the Linkus Contacts list. The contacts are continually
synchronized with your native contacts.
1. Tap the contact to view the contact information.

2. Choose the contact's number, tap .

Note:
• If you call a user's mobile number on Linkus, the bill is charged to the PBX.

• The number you want to call should match PBX's outbound route, or the call will fail.

Make Calls from Dialpad


1. Tap at the bottom of the screen.
A dialpad shows up and displays all the call history and missed calls.
2. Enter the phone number on the dialpad.

3. Tap to delete the entered digit.

4. Tap to call the number.

2. Select a number and tap the number to call.

Tip:
• Tap to hide the dialpad.
• Tap to show the dialpad.

Answer Calls via Bluetooth Headset


1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, turn on Bluetooth.
2. Pair your Bluetooth headset to the your phone.
a) Follow the instructions that came with the Bluetooth headset to put it in discovery mode.
b) Go to Bluetooth settings on your phone, tap the Bluetooth headset to connect.
3. When a Linkus call comes, you can answer the call via the connected Bluetooth headset.

Handle an Established Call


When you are on a call, the screen shows several call options.

Handle Call Waiting


When you are in an active call and a new call comes, you can accept the new call or decline the new call.
Decline the new call
Tap Decline icon to decline the new call.

Accept the new call and end the current call


Tap End & Accept icon to accept the new call and end the current call.

Accept the new call and hold the current call


Tap Hold & Accept icon to accept the new call and hold the current call.

Swap between the current call and held call


Tap the image in the top left corner to swap the current call and the held call.

Blind Transfer
Tap during the call, you can choose to make a blind transfer.
In the following example:
• Adele and Carol are in the call;
• Carol wants to transfer the call to Bella.
1. During the call, tap , the Transfer Screen appears.
In this moment, Adele is held on the call.
2. On the Transfer Screen, switch the transfer type to Blind.

3. Enter Stella's phone number and tap to call Stella.


The call between Adele and Carol will disconnect immediately, and Stella's phone is ringing.

Attended Transfer
Tap during the call, you can make an attended transfer, then dials a number and talks to the person
who has picked up the call before transferring the caller over to him/her.
In the following example:
• Adele and Carol are in the call;
• Carol wants to transfer the call to Bella.
1. During the call, tap , the Transfer Screen appears.
In this moment, Adele is held on the call.
2. On the Transfer Screen, enter Stella's phone number and tap to call Stella.

3. If Stella answers the call, Carol can talk to Stella to tell her that the call will be transferred.

4. Tap Transfer to transfer the call.


The call between Stella and Adele is established.

Add Prefix Number


You add prefix numbers to the Linkus contact's number or call history number, then utilize the number to
call out without having to add new entries.
Below is an example of how to add prefix 0 to a contact's number, and call out directly from Linkus.
Note:
Make sure the PBX server allow dialing outbound numbers start with the prefix number. In this
example, the PBX server should allow external number starts with digit 0.
1. Select the number that you want to add prefix to.
• From Extensions list or Contacts list, select a contact's number, long press .

• From Call History, long press the number.

2. Select Dial through PBX.


3. Select Custom.
Tip: If the PBX already has an outbound route with Patterns 0., you can select the outbound
route to call out. For more information, contact your administrator.

4. On the Add Outbound Prefix screen, set the prefix.

• Prefix Name: set a name for the prefix.


• Prefix Number: set the prefix number.

5. Click Save.
The prefix will be saved, and Linkus will add the prefix to the number, then call out.

Conference

Linkus client supports up to 9-way conferencing. Tap on the bottom of the screen to enter the
conference list.
You can tap a conference to view the detail or edit the conference.

Create a Conference
On the Conference list screen, you can create a conference.
1. Tap to create a conference.
2. Set a name for the new conference.

3. Tap to add conference members.


4. Tap on the contact image to delete the contact from the conference.

5. Tap Save to save the conference or tap Start Conference to start the conference immediately.
When you end the conference, the conference will be saved in the Conference list.

During a Conference
When the conference is established, the conference administrator can manage the conference.
Conference Member Status

• : The member answered the conference call.


• : The member's phone is ringing.
• : The member didn't answer the conference call or the member lost the connection.

Re-invite a Conference Member


The conference administrator can re-invite a contact if the contact didn't answer the conference call or if
the contact lost connection.
1. During the conference, long tap the contact's image.

2. Tap Call Again.

Mute/Unmute a Conference Member


All the conference members can mute or unmute themselves by tapping Mute/Unmute icon.

The conference administrator can mute or unmute the conference members.


1. Long tap the contact.

2. Tap Mute to mute the conference member.


The other conference members will not hear the muted member's voice.

3. Long tap the muted contact again.

4. Tap Unmute to unmute the conference member.

Mute/Unmute All Conference Members


The conference administrator can mute or unmute all the conference members.
1. Long tap the image of the conference administrator.

2. Tap Mute All to mute all the conference members.

3. Long tap the image of the conference administrator.


4. Tap Unmute All to unmute all the conference members.

Add/Delete a Conference Member


During a conference, the conference administrator can invite a new member or delete a member from the
conference.
Add a conference member

Tap to add a conference member, the desired member's phone will ring. After the invited member
answers the call, the member will join the conference.

Delete a conference member


1. Long tap the image of the conference member.

2. Tap Delete.

Rejoin a Conference
During a conference, if you lose connection of an on-going conference, you can rejoin the conference.
Generally, you may lost connection if there is a problem of your mobile network. When the network comes
back, you can see a note on Linkus client.
• Tap the note to rejoin the conference.
• Go to Conference list, tap the on-going conference to rejoin the conference.

Contacts and Call History


Linkus provides two phonebooks, Extensions and Contacts.
• Extensions: Displays all the PBX's extensions.
• Contacts: Sync with your native contacts.

Extensions
Tap to view the extension users.
Extension Status
: The user is idle.
: The user is busy in a call.
: The user is unavailable.

Contacts on Linkus are continually synchronized with your native contacts.

Call History
Tap on the bottom of the screen, a dialpad shows up and displays all the call history and missed calls.

Tap to hide the dialpad, then you can check all the call history.

Voicemail and Recording

Tap to enter Me screen, you can check your voicemail files and recording files.

Manage Voicemail Messages


If you have new voicemail messages, the number of new voicemail messages will appear behind the
option Voicemail.
Tap Voicemail to view your voicemail messages.
• Download the message

Tap to download the message.


• Listen to the message

Tap to listen to the message.


Note: If a messages is read, the message will be marked as "read", and disappear from the
Unread list.
• More options
You can call the person who left the voicemail message, mark the message as "read" or "unread", or
delete the message.

2. Select Dial, Read/Unread, Delete.

Manage Recording Files


You can check and manage your one-touch recording files on Linkus.

• Download a recording

Tap to download the message.


• Listen to a recording

Linkus Settings

Change Ring Strategy


The default ring strategy of Linkus is that when someone calls your extension, your office phone and
Linkus will ring simultaneously. You can change the ring strategy on Linkus.
1. Go to Me > Settings > Call Options > Ring Strategy.
2. Select the desired ring strategy.
• Ring Simultaneously: The office phone and Linkus will ring simultaneously.
• Ring Extension Only: Only the office phone will ring.
• Ring Linkus Only: Only the Linkus will ring.
• Ring Extension First: The office phone rings first, then the Linkus rings.
• Ring Linkus First: The Linkus rings first, then the office phone rings.
3. Tap .

Change Linkus Password


Change the Linkus login password.
1. Go to Me > Settings > Password Management.
2. Enter the old password.
3. Enter the new password.
4. Enter the new password again to confirm it.
5. Tap .

Clear Linkus Cache


If you want to play your recordings/voicemail on Linkus, you need to download the files first. The
downloaded files are saved on your phone, you can delete them.
1. Go to Me > Settings > Advanced Options.
2. Tap Clear Cache.
3. Tap OK to clear the cache.

Manage Outbound Prefix


You add outbound prefixes on Linkus and select a prefix to add to a contact's number or call history
number when you are calling out.
1. Go to Me > Settings > Advanced Options > Outbound Prefix.
2. Tap to add a prefix.
3. Tap a prefix to edit it.
4. To delete a prefix, drag the prefix to left, tap Delete.

Set Call Forwarding


By default, if you don't answer an incoming call, the call will be forwarded to your voicemail. You can
change the call forwarding settings on Linkus.
1. Go to Me > Settings > Call Options > Call Forwarding.
2. Select and enable the call forwarding condition.
• Always: Always forward the call, incoming calls will never ring this extension.
• No Answer: Only call forward when the user does not answer.
• When Busy: Only call forward when the user is in a call.
3. Select the relevant forward destination.
4. Tap .

Enable/Disable Call Waiting


If call waiting is enabled, you will hear a call waiting alert when the second call comes in. When the new
call is waiting, you can:
• Answer the new call and end the current call
• Answer the new call and hold the current call
• Decline the new call
1. Go to Me > Settings > Call Options > Call Waiting.
2. To enable call waiting, turn on Call Waiting.
3. To disable call waiting, turn off Call Waiting.

Enable/Disable Dialpad Tones


Dialpad tones are the tones you will hear when you tap numbers on the Linkus dialpad.
1. Go to Me > Settings > Call Options > Dial Pad Tones.
2. To enable dialpad tones, turn on Dial Pad Tones.
3. To disable dialpad tones, turn off Dial Pad Tones.

Enable/Disable Background Mode


You can enable Background Mode in Linkus to allow Linkus to work in the background.
1. Go to Me > Settings > Advanced Options > Background Mode.
2. To enable call waiting, turn on Background Mode.
3. To disable call waiting, turn off Background Mode.

Enable/Disable DND
Use do not disturb (DND) to silence your phone and ignore incoming call notifications when you need to
avoid distractions.
1. Go to Me > Settings > Call Options > DND.
2. To enable DND, turn on DND.
3. To disable DND, turn off DND.

Adjust Call Quality


If there is an echo during the call, enable echo cancellation to get better sound quality. You can also adjust
the Linkus call volume.
1. Go to Me > Settings > Call Options.
2. Turn on Echo Cancellation to enable echo cancellation.
3. Tap TX Gain to adjust the transmitting volume.
4. Tap RX Gain to adjust the receiving volume.

Report Linkus Bugs


If you got a problem of Linkus client, you can capture the error logs and report bug to Yeastar support.
1. Go to Me > Settings > Advanced Options > Debug.
2. Turn on Report Bugs.
3. Duplicate the problem.
4. Go to Me > Settings > Advanced Options > Debug, tap Send Report.
5. Enter the description of your problem, tap OK.
6. Edit your e-mail contents.
Note: Linkus will detect your mobile model, software version, linkus mobile client version, linkus
server version. The e-mail subject contains this information.
7. Tap Send.
The e-mail will be sent to Yeastar.
