    You let me hunger
    Lord, I am hungry.
    so that I
    Fill me up
    starve for You-
    with your Flesh-Bread
    without You, die.
    and Life-giving Cup.

    You let me hunger


    Lord, I am hungry.
    so I know
    Let me starve.
    upon my heart
    Upon my heart
    You want to sow.
    Your trademark carve.

    You let me hunger


    Lord, I am hungry.
    so I feel
    Thank you, though.
    satisfaction
    For without hunger
    when I kneel.
    I'd never know
    how much I filled
    You let me hunger
    my life with things
    so I see
    that dull Your brilliance
    priceless Love
    and make kings
    upon that tree.
    of worldly pleasures.
    Let me crave
    You let me hunger
    Your Word alone
    so I seek
    and help me brave
    Your strength when
    this war of willpower.
    my will is weak.
    Pave the way
    to Your Kingdom
    You let me hunger
    for there I'll stay
    so my heart
    for all eternity
    knows from it,
    if I
    You'll never part.
    let You consume me
    till I die.
    You let me hunger
    because You thirst
    for me to always
    love You first.
