SELF-INTRODUCTION

To begin my self-introduction, I would like to greet my dear teacher and

everybody here present, good morning! My name is Bea and my full name is Beatriz
Bumba. I live in Cacuaco, at Eco-campo neighborhood with my parents. I study at
Gilipa College grade 10th, I love my school, my teachers and specially my classmates.
My favorite subjects are: Portuguese, Biology, Physical Education, Maths and Physics.
In future I want to be a professional physics teacher. That’s all that I have to say!

MY ROUTINE

My name is Sharon. I am a TV announcer, I usually wake up around 10 o’clock,

but I get up around 10:15 a.m, I never have breakfast. I take a shower, and then I
sometimes read the newspaper. I often have at midday, and I always start work at 3
o’clock. I have dinner at work and it’s usually around midnight. I usually go to bed
around 1:00 a.m.

Part I

I like school because I’m in a very special class. We are all very close and help each
other a lot. I don’t have excellent marks, Maths is sometimes problematic, and so is
chemistry, but there are other subjects that really fascinate me, especially Geography,
Ok, I confess that! It’s the Geography teacher that fascinates me, not the rivers and

School is Okay, but It’s terrible to wake up early every morning to catch the school bus.
I usually feel very tired in the evening, but I always do my homework before going to
bed. I have a great difficulty in French and English, but I’m quite at art and science.

WHY DO I STUDY ENGLISH?

One morning I asked to myself the following question: Why do I study English?
Well, first, I study English because is a language of communication. Second, because it
is a worldwide language, and it is spoken everywhere. Third, I study English to be
understood wherever I go. Fourth, to work for English company and finally, to walk
around the world without any translator.

TOM’S DAY

On Sunday, Tom gets up at 10 o’clock. Then he reads his newspaper in the

kitchen. Has breakfast at 11:30 and then he telephones his mother in Scotland.

In the afternoon, at 1:00, Tom plays tennis with his sister and after that, they eat
dinner in a restaurant. At 6:00, Tom swims for one hour and then he goes by bike to his
brother’s house. They talk and listen to music.

Tom watches television in the evening and drinks a glass of Jack Daniel’s
whiskey. He goes to bed at 11:30.
