Tips to make your life easier
Sometimes, we need life to be a little less difficult! Here are a few tips from our readers.
1
_______
We’re advised against using the same logins and passwords for all our accounts, but it’s so easy to
forget all the different ones we use. By making up a name that we know we’ll remember, and changing
some of the letters to similar ones (for example, using $ instead of s), we can make our lives easier
and safer.
2
_______
If you like delicious cold coffee, but don’t want to put lots of ice in it (which fills it with water), then why
not freeze your coffee into small blocks? There’s a little planning involved, but it will make sure you
never drink a weak iced coffee again!
3
_______
How do you keep valuable items, such as car keys and money, out of sight at the beach? After all, you
can’t take them into the water with you. Here’s a useful trick: bring an extra water bottle (the kind you
can fill again and again). Then you can use it as a secret container for your valuable items.
4
_______
Sometimes we cross things out in pen, but we can still read the original text underneath. What should
we do if we don’t want anyone to see what it says? Simply write lots of odd letters over what you’ve
written, and it’ll be impossible to work out!
5
_______
It can be tricky finding your suitcase when you’re in the airport baggage hall. Most bags are black or
grey – and look just like yours! That often leaves you running up and down trying to read luggage
labels. But if you tie a piece of bright cloth to your case, you’ll easily see it!
6
_______
You might think you’ve finished that jar of jam or bottle of chocolate sauce – but there’s certain to be
some left in places that are difficult to reach. Why not fill the almost-empty container with ice cream?
It’ll pick up all the sauce that remains and make a delicious dessert!
