Campus Radio FM 98.2 started its regular transmission on 19th of March 2012 and morning
transmission from August 14, 2020. Campus radio is accumulatively broadcasting is 11 hours
daily that reflects the Sargodha University’s strong pledge for its community services. Campus
Radio Intends to fulfill the communication needs of its all communities and be determined to
connect communities, farmers, local business and general public with the educational and
scientific work produce in Sargodha University in a simplest set of community broadcast.

Mission
The mission of Campus radio is to create diverse community through strong listenership in the
course of community broadcast which may cater the communication needs of society following
the Pakistan’s pledge to Sustainable Development Goals.

Target Listeners
 Campus Radio FM 98.2 can be tuned in the radius of 100 km from Sargodha city.
 Listeners across Sargodha, Bhalwal, Sillanwali, Bhera, Shahpur, Kot Momin, Sahiwal,
Kallar Kahar, Chakwal, Jhang, Noorpur Thal, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Khushab, Joharabad,
Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and surroundings that covers approx 7 Million people.
 The listeners often participate in our programs with their valuable feedback which truly
reflects the penetration of Campus Radio FM 98.2.

 Campus Radio is a community radio, therefore the listeners of all age, gender and race
are accessible through FM 98.2.
 This Radio is the representative of more than 26,000 students and 2000 faculty and staff
of Sargodha University and they can also tune in its transmission in the fleet of Sargodha
University transport.
Broadcast Timings

 Campus Radio is presenting 11 hours of broadcast seven days a week in shifts: Morning
from 07:00am to 12:00am and Evening from 3:00pm to 9:00 pm.
Facilities
 The station owns state of the art panel studio, pre and post production facilities, 1000
watts powerful transmitter and a wonderful music library.

  In its broadcast campus Radio Fm 98.2 covers all the aspects of day to day life in its
transmission particularly Information, education and Entertainment.

Education
 Education is the significant feature of Campus Radio FM 98.2.
 It uses comprise school broadcasting about informal general education i.e. social action
programming and adult basic education and literacy through live broadcasting of
seminars, workshops and other educational initiatives.
 Hygiene, health, women empowerment, civic engagement, food, nutrition and many
other issues are the topic of our daily radio programs of Radio Talk, Taranjan and
Magazine programs.
 This radio also intends to launch broad class program where unprivileged communities
will be connected with Sargodha University for distance learning.
Information
 Campus Radio FM 98.2 has strong pledge for community broadcasting and carried out
several programs that strengthen the community i.e. farmers’ outreach programs,
support to local business through experts’ discussion.
 This radio is also a source of public service messages for awareness drive on water born
diseases, corona virus, civil rights, road safety and traffic laws.
 Regular news bulletin in our broadcasting on-air daily at 10:00am, 17:00 and 20:00. The
information about education, health, environment, science and technology and sports
are main feature of our news.
Entrainment
 Campus Radio FM 98.2 is promoting Pakistani music, art and literature. This radio is
broadcasting transmission in four languages Urdu, Punjabi, Saraiki and English.
 Almost 50 % of the broadcast comprising on Pakistani music and English language music
that consists of songs, Gazals, folk music in almost all major languages of Pakistan.
 This radio also promotes local talent in music, poetry and literature. Local Poests,
Singers and writers participate in various entertainment programs of Campus Radio Fm
98.2. This radio also broadcasting Sargodha Literary Festival arranged by Sargodha
University every year.
