How to study abroad and not die while trying.

Introduction.
The principal aims of this proposal is to provide a guideline of the most common
problems students may face when studying abroad as well as suggesting some
ways in which the course could address these problems.

What to do after being accepted in an exchange programme.

Being accepted in an exchange programme is good news, however it is only a step
forward in the realisation of making this dream come true.
 Scholarship: When applying for an exchange programme, carefully read the
terms of it since few of them offer to pay for the enrolment process.

 Housing: Looking for a place to live is usually problematic in aspects such

as distance, price, services included, among others.

 Leisure time: To have time to explore the city, to know the culture;
organization your time is your best ally.
Recommendations
As final thoughts in the problems mentioned above:
 Either ask your school for an extra help to have some expenses paid or you
ask the school you were accepted in if they had a scholarship you can apply
to.
 Do a research about places to stay in there, try not to add the word “student”
in your search since housing gets more expensive when the word is
included.
 Enrol the minimum number of subjects possible, that will leave you with
enough time to enjoy the experience.
These recommendations will help students to see that there is no reason to be
afraid to apply for an exchange programme, giving the school also the opportunity
of becoming a host.
