How to study abroad and not die while trying.

Introduction.
The principal aims of this proposal is to provide a view of the most common
problems students may face when studying abroad as well as suggesting some
ways in which the course for students taking an exchange programme could
address these problems.

What to do after being accepted in an exchange programme.

Being accepted in an exchange programme is only the first step to be able to study
abroad, there are some other aspects that should be considered, the most
important are:
 Scholarship: When applying for an exchange programme, carefully read the
terms of it since few of them offer to pay for the enrolment process.

 Housing: Looking for a place to live is usually problematic in aspects such

as distance, price, services included, among others.
Recommendations
As final thoughts in the problems mentioned above:
 Either the school could offer extra help to have some expenses paid or ask
the hosting schools if they had a scholarship that any student can apply to.

 Do a research about places to stay in there, try not to add the word “student”
in your search since housing gets more expensive when the word is
included.

 After having this information collected, it should be presented to the

students, not only to the ones that had already been accepted, but to
anyone looking for extra information.

These recommendations will help students to see that there is no reason to be

afraid to apply for an exchange programme, giving the school also the opportunity
of becoming a host.
