There are three reflection stages to enhance the learning process:

 before (for) decide what the learning process will be to meet needs (personal and team);
 during (in) what action needs to be taken;
 After (on) the process to decide if goals have been met, what could have been done better
etc.

After finishing the presentation and watching back the group presentation that we have given
that was the effort of the team of 4 people, in which I can see that we had a lot of strengths
but also a lot of weaknesses as a team. The result of what we have achieved is that our
presentation was not too bad.

Working in a group we have to perform as a team not as an individual. We have to allocate


the work accordingly.

We need to identify the tasks performed and the skills required

1. Evaluate the different approaches

2. Comprehend the trade-offs among the various approaches to designing jobs

3. Identify approaches to the team

• Job analysis: getting detailed information about the task

• Job design: defining the way work will be performed and the tasks that will be
required in a given task
• Workflow design: analysing the tasks needed to produce a product or service,
before allocating and assigning these tasks to a job category or person

During the presentation

My experience with my team member was good. I can honestly say that I am more than
pleased with my team member. So working in a team was the best experience I have ever
got. This was the opportunity which was given by our lecturer so that we can learn more
things through this experience. As Albert Einstein said ''The only source of knowledge is
experience''. Generally, the high standard of all the courses makes me try more and more
and gives me motivation, forgetting the difficulties I face. I feel very comfortable being with
my team members. I became very social and the good knowledge of the Human Resource
Management.

One of the most important aspects of presentation is communicating.  Knowing the proper


way to communicate will be more successful.  Another important aspect is working in a
group.  For that they need to work in a group by accepting the weaknesses and strength of
members.  The dynamics and the roles taken in the group can make the presentation a
successful one or one that’s not so effective.  I was given an opportunity to build on both my
formal communicating skills and my group .By working on this presentation, I was able to
identify the strengths and weaknesses of my group. So some of the advantages as working
in a group are explained below
The advantage of working as a group

1. Increased productivity and performance: Working in group always makes the


work easy. We can achieve much more rather than working as an individual. We
share the ideas and knowledge and do our work best.

2. Skills development: working in a team we can develop our interpersonal skills such
as speaking and listening as well as team working skills such as leadership.

3. Knowing more about yourself: collaborating with others will help identify your


own strengths and weaknesses.
4. It promotes student learning and achievement.
5. It develops critical thinking skills.
6. It helps to learn how to work as a team.
7. It improves social skills
8. It gives us opportunity to speak in front of others and giving the ideas.
9. It saves time and reduces workload.
10. It develops practical skills like decision making, conflict resolution,
clarifications.

Thinking back on the experience of our group presentation I can hopefully say that I met my
expectations fair enough. Unfortunately, we faced a problem with the presentation but
working with other team members was a great experience. It taught me cooperation with
other people, something that all of us will definitely meet through our ‘’working life’’. It was
very beneficial to work as a team because as Ken Blanchard said ''None of us is
as smart as all of us''. So, the result of our presentation came from the feedback we
received from the other was satisfactory.

Discussion

Usually when I entered into the group project, I thought my personality is one that works best
as a group leader and organizer.  When another group member also held that same
personality then I thought it will not work out.  Because of this, I tried to be just like a team
worker.  This was a new and great experience for me.  I enjoyed being work like this.  This
new position actually worked very well because the person that identified as the group
leader recognized that this was a new role for me.  He definitely used this knowledge to lead
better and to keep everyone working equally.  Usually, an experience with two leaders could
make a project unsuccessful, but this dynamic seemed to be extremely beneficial for our
group.  Everything ran smoothly because everyone was in the same mindset.

After watching back the group presentation I can say they are some limitations on which I
want to talk. First thing I noticed in the presentation was that we were all fidgeting behind the
other person except the person who giving the presentation and weren’t standing up straight
when we were talking, for instance I was standing in front of others in the middle of stage
while others were standing against the white board. It would have been better to use chairs
so that when someone wasn’t speaking they could sit down quietly.

My Performance

My part of the presentation wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, however it could have
been a lot better if I wasn’t looking at my cue cards as much. I should speak little bit slower. I
tended to speak quite fast, probably due to nerves; in the future I should try and talk slower.

Group Presentation

If I talk about the other group member’s presentation then my team member were
participate properly. But It can be more better if they took proper time at the presentation
while taking the time of others. We should have do more practise. Throughout the whole of
my part of the presentation I was standing in the central to the class and but my team
member don’t feel to come in the central. What would have made the presentation a lot
more professional is if we introduced ourselves at the start of the presentation and told the
class what we were each going to talk about.

There were some parts of the presentation that I felt were good, such as the slideshow used,
which was clear to read and covered the whole part of the assignment. We all referred to the
slides whilst we were talking and used hand gestures and expression throughout the
presentation so we didn’t look stiff and nervous. After this presentation, I had another group
presentation which was far better as I performed in this presentation. I had improved on what
went wrong in the previous one. For example, we used chairs to sit on, introduced ourselves
at the beginning and also mentioned that what we were going to do in the presentation.
Even though I was still nervous, but I remembered my weaknesses. I tried to speak slower
and stood up straight. I had practised with the group beforehand. Overall I feel the
presentation was good practise and I have already made improvements from it.

Overall Experience

  Overall, our group had a very positive experience.  In the beginning, we were new to each
other and didn’t know anything about each other. After sometimes we came to know each
other. And By the end we were able to joke around, be honest, and enjoy working on the
presentation.. We all worked well together and helped each other. Everyone put in a lot of
effort and work. It was more of an encouraging and helpful environment. We were able to
become friends; we respected each other and worked to help one another and not only
ourselves. We allocated all the work to each other beside that everyone was focused on
helping each other in the group. We concentrated about the presentation so it didn’t take
more time to make it. But all process was so enjoyable. 

          After my experience with this group persuasive speech I was able to identify the
strengths and weaknesses of our group.  This reflection will help me in future presentations
and projects. 

Conclusion

Working is a group was the great experience for me. As I said working in a group always
encouraging for members. There are some advantages and also some disadvantages but
positive points are more than negative.

I learnt many things like

 co-operation
 resolving conflicts
 socialisation
 motivation
 communication

With the help of this presentation I will also improve in other presentations and it will also
helpful for me at work place in future.
