Introduction from the Presider

Good afternoon, Bosconians.

Today the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary, we, the Bosconians of
Don Bosco TVET Center-Calauan, gather together in prayer,
in union with Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
In moments of danger,
the Good Shepherd does not abandon his flock. He
is with us, even in this time of pandemic. That is
why we, bosconians, desire to pray with and for all
of them.
In our consecration, we all promised to follow closely the Lord.
This closeness to Jesus leads us to his sheep.

THE HOLY ROSARY

Introductory Prayers
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father
almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and
the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom
come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those
who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Hail Marys
God, Our Father, at this time of crisis, increase our faith:
Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Jesus, God the Son, at this time of crisis, strengthen our hope:
Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God, the Holy Spirit, at this time of crisis, perfect our charity:
Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Doxology
Glory to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
The First Mystery
THE RESURRECTION
OF OUR LORD

Word of God
From the Gospel according to Matthew
(28:5 – 6)
The angel said to women, “Do not be afraid; I
know that you are looking for Jesus who was
crucified. He is not here; for he has been
raised, as He said. Come, see the place
where he lay.”

Intention for the Mystery

Jesus triumphed over death and
conquered the darkness of the grave. We
remember those who continue to suffer in
this period of pandemic, especially the
poor and the vulnerable.

The Second Mystery
JESUS ASCENDS
INTO HEAVEN

Word of God
From the Acts of the Apostles (1:8-9)
Jesus said, “You will receive power when
the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and
you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all
Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the
earth.” When He had said this, as they
were watching, he was lifted up, and a
cloud took Him out of their sight.

Intention for the Mystery

Through His ascension, Jesus gives us the
opportunity to encounter Him not physically
but personally. We remember the sick,
especially those stricken by COVID-19.

The Third Mystery

THE DESCENT OF THE
HOLY SPIRIT

Word of God
From the Acts of the Apostles (2:1-4)
When the day of Pentecost had come, they
were all together in one place. And suddenly
from heaven there came a sound like the rush
of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house in
which they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of
fire, appeared among them. All of them were
filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in
other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.

Intention for the Mystery

At the descent of the Holy Spirit, the apostles
were empowered to spread the Good News.
Through this event, we are inspired and
empowered to do what God calls us to do. We
remember all who have died, that filled with the
Spirit in life, they may rejoice in heaven forever.

The Fourth Mystery
MARY IS ASSUMED BODY
AND SOUL INTO HEAVEN
Word of God
From the First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians
(15:51-53)
Listen, I will tell you a mystery! We will not all
die, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in
the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will
be raised imperishable, and we will all be
changed. For this perishable body must put
on imperishability, and this mortal body must
put on immortality.
Intention for the Mystery
Mary’s assumption to heaven is a testimony of
God’s bountiful and unbounded love. It reveals
to us how God values our temporal bodies as
Mary was saved from bodily corruption. We
remember all those who exercise authority in
governments and the public sphere, who are in
need of God’s help in performing their duties.
10 Hail Marys
Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women,

The Fifth Mystery
THE CORONATION OF THE
BLESSED VIRGIN MARY AS
QUEEN OF HEAVEN AND EARTH
Word of God
From the Book of Revelation (12:1)
A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman
clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet,
and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

Intention for the Mystery

Mary’s coronation as Queen of heaven and
earth leads us to a greater hope to the goal
of our earthly journey impelling us to bear
courageous witness to the “good news”.
We remember the medical personnel and
other frontline workers who continue to
witness to the self-giving of Christ.
10 Hail Marys
Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Oratio Imperata on the COVID-19

God our Father,
we come to you in our need
to ask your protection against the COVID 19
that has disturbed and even claimed lives.
We pray that you guide the people
tasked to find cures for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts
that they may minister to the sick
with competence and compassion.

We pray for those afflicted.

May they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.

Give us the grace in this trying time

to work for the good of all
and to help those in need.
We implore you to stop the spread of this
virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant all these through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son
who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

Marian Prayer after the Rosary
O Mary,
You shine continuously on our journey
as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,
who, at the foot of the cross,
were united with Jesus’
suffering, and persevered in your
faith.
“Protectress of the Roman
people”, you know our needs,
and we know that you will provide,
so that, as at Cana in Galilee,
joy and celebration may
return after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the will of the
Father and to do what Jesus tells us.
For he took upon himself our
suffering, and burdened himself with
our sorrows to bring us, through the
cross, to the joy of the Resurrection.
Amen.

We fly to your protection,

O Holy Mother of God;
Do not despise our petitions
in our necessities,
but deliver us always
from every danger,
O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.
