Valve Spool Replacement

WARNING — Due to the close critical tolerances
of the valve spool and the spool bore, Parker
Hannifin cannot guarantee problem-free spool
replacement. Spools sold separately to distributors
must be installed in work sections and tested for
spool binding and leakage prior to shipment.
Binding spools or excessive leakage can cause a
loss of function control. Specifically, binding spools
can cause a function to stick in the 'on' position.
Leaking spools on the other hand can cause
functions to drift. Test procedures and
specifications are available from the factory upon
request.

can cause accidents resulting the serious injury or
death.
The practice of re-chroming spools is not
acceptable. Parker Hannifin has no control over the
plating materials or process.
Parker Hannifin recommends the replacement of
worn spools and sections with a complete, factory
supplied, work section assembly. This will eliminate
the risks associated with spool replacement.
Parker Hannifin is not responsible for failures of
reworked sections due to improper spool fit.
