Statistics, as to definition, is a branch of Mathematics dealing with the

collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of masses of numerical data. It
is important in all fields of human activity. It plays an essential role in almost all fields
including commerce, trade, economics, astronomy, mathematics, sciences, and all.
Statistics is a means of formulating new knowledge. It creates solution to a particular
problem since it challenges a certain hypothesis or assumptions. One of the
important application of Statistics that can help in solving societal problems is
research interpretations and conclusions. According to study, statistical analysis
helps reduce or eliminate errors so that most researchers can confidently make
conclusions that will then direct further research.

Personally, as a student, statistics help in my research projects making

conclusions and giving answers to my research problem using the different statistical
tools. Also, as I always see in the television, Statistics is very useful in weather
forecasting, national surveys and all. In the business world, statistics is really helpful
in forecasting future opportunities. In economics, it is very essential because it helps
in determining certain factors affecting economics. To sum it all, Statistics is really
helpful in all ways and in all fields.
