Application Activity: Observation on the Process of Center Meeting

Given the circumstance that there was no assessment criteria written in the
module for this activity, I thought that it would be better to still give my observation
during our On the Job Training ( OJT) during senior high. With regards to the process
or sequence of the center meeting , I observed the following flow to every center
meeting we’ve been.
1. Opening Prayer
2. Recital of 10 Decisions
3. Recital of Pledge of Center ( Pangako ng Center)
4. Recital of Staff Pledge
5. Singing of CARD Hymn
6. Roll call of attendance by the Center Secretary
7. Reading of the previous minutes of the center meeting by the Center Secretary
8. Discussion of Center Agenda by Center Chief
9. Facilitation of Learning Session of CwE
10. Discussion of Agenda of AO
11. Report on validation and PPI of new members
12. Updating of loan application of status
13. Submission of new loan application by member
14. Submission of total collection and signing of accountable forms
15. Announcement of attendance and repayment rates
16. Closing Prayer

ESSAY:
1. Identify the skills and attitudes of the AO that make him or her a good facilitator
of the meeting

I will just base my answer on our OJT during Senior High wherein I was assigned
in Tagum Area and we are assigned to different Account Officer every single day and
I witness three center meeting during those times. Basically, they have a quite
similar approach in terms of facilitating the meeting. They know what are the
sequence of the flow of the meeting. Actually, the center meeting is preceded by the
center chief and the Account Officer will just bat in to facilitate, to start the CWE and
give announcements. Sometimes, they will assist the treasurer in collecting and at
the same time updating the passbooks. Also, all of them have soft and calm voices
when interacting even if some members are too loud and noisy.
2. Since today despite of pandemic, what do you think is the best way to continue
this kind of center meeting that we can use under a new normal situation. Kindly
provide recommendation to improve or enhance the conduct of center meeting.

If I were to suggest, I would like the center meeting to happen online. If it is


possible, weekly payments of clients can be done through online, either with K2C,
Gcash, Paymaya or other payment platforms. I think it is better to innovate or
develop the system of K2C wherein clients can pay through it. Payment defaults will
be subject to penalties or other disciplinary action imposed by government.
