The writer is writing to protest against a proposed new retail park development in their small neighborhood. They are worried it will disturb the many senior citizens living there and make the area too loud. They also argue the community already has enough small retail stores so the development is unnecessary. Furthermore, every populated area nearby already has multiple stores, so there is no need for this development. The writer strongly urges the councilor to reconsider or at least relocate the proposed retail park development.

I am writing to protest against building a new retail park since many
people, including me, do not think it is a good idea. Not only that, but I am afraid that it might result in even more protests and demonstrations, as well as unwanted attention from the media.
I am very worried that it might make our neighbourhood way too
loud since it is a small one. There are very few young people living there, and a lot of senior citizens. It is of crucial importance not to disturb them because a good percentage of our neighbourhood's houses were built for older people who couldn't afford a home. Building a retail park would result in even more protests, as I mentioned.
Furthermore, our community already has a few small retail stores, so
this one would not be necessary. I understand that the retail park you are intending to build is not just for our community, but others too. That's why I looked into it better and found out that every populated area in the 5-mile radius has at least two stores in proximity, and one even has a Mega-market.
It is for these reasons that I strongly believe that you should
reconsider your plan. I understand that it may already be in motion, but please if you can not cancel it, at least move it somewhere else Yours respectfully, Dominik Shamonky
