The role of Nawabism On Development

Nawabism is a concept of administration that takes place in Bengal Region in 1525 and end of
1857.

Introduction:
In order to answer the question above, we not just need to know the history rather need to know
the concepts and their implication. Hence, two concepts are important one is Nawabism when
the other is Development.

The Writing that follows, first cover the concepts of Nawabism and second cover
Development. Finally the check and balance of development justified by Nawabism
administration.

Let’s just start with Nawabism:

Nawabism:
Theoretically, as we understand Nawabism is an old fashion concept of administration where
one family took all the advantage. They also fought and be the warrior for no reason or
unnecessary reason. They have a peculiar dress code to make the administration in panic.
However, these are all our perception. These are an interior outside shadow of Nawabism.
Hence, below many pictures of-
Having expressed the theoretically, let’s be practical to defend the concept.

A further disclose to Nawabism:

It is quite oblivious and logical that long before ago many people were not intelligent, educated
and civilizes enough to rule their life. As a result, people lack direction to lead their life and to
protect them from outside extinction.
This results non-productive and anarchy society some realize this as a threat a survival and they
come up with a mechanism to control the people to lead a productive and social life. Some
pictorial express in silence-

This is how an administration was introduced which is called Nawabism.

This is the genesis the nawabism but later bose down to familism which called monocracy.

Now it is the time to understand the concepts of Development. However, before writing these
concepts let us report to the yawing history of Nawabism. The Nawabism started in 1525 and
ended in 1857. This period a number of Nawab ruled the Country from the same family with
heritage. The mention nawabs-
● Samrat Akbar 1556-1605
● Samrat Jahangir 1569-1627
● Samrat Babar 1583-1530
This more than three century. Thus, this must have a good and bad impact on people life.

Now let us examine the concepts of Development:

Development is the process that creates growth, progress, positive change or the addition of
physical, economic, environment, social and demographic components. The purpose of
development is a rise in the level and quality of life of the population. Development by concept is
new but it exists from the day one of the world. But the educated people divided this development
into three-

Economic Development: Economic developments express the standard of living of a particular

caste. It is the process in which a nation is being improved in the sector of the productive
economic, literacy rate, life expectancy, Poverty rates and the transition from agriculture based
to industry based economy.
Productive economy is essentially the efficiency in which an economy can transform
resources into goods. This is the process where decrease the required monetary investment in
everyday necessities and luxuries, making consumers more benefited. But day by day productive
economy converted into value-added process that can effectively raise living standards and make
the business more profitable.

Social development: Social development is about improving the well-being of every individual in
society so they can reach their full potential. Processes of the social development should not for
a particular group or particular individual which does not apply any kind of imparity of norms,
values, and facilities.
Human needs development: It is concerned with the basic things which are needed to live as a
human being. It includes food, clothing, education, shelter, healthcare, freedom to express the
thoughts and justice and have no restrictions on daily activities.

From the above discussion, Development is the term where economic development, social
development and human needs development are interrelated. It includes all the process and
policies by which a nation improves the economic, political and social well-being of its people.

Now let us explain at Nawabism:

Economic development period time of Nawabism: As we know economic development in which

a nation is being improved in the sector of productive economy, literacy rate, life expectancy,
poverty rates transition from agriculture based to industry based economy.

So the economic development not fixed at only financial facts but also being improved in literacy
rate, poverty rates, life expectancy. Nawabism followed the productivity economic because they
know Productive economy is essentially the efficiency for decrease the required monetary
investment in everyday necessities and luxuries . Besides in this period, Nawab made many
educational institutions to tough the needed education. As an example- nearly we can nawab sir
Khwaja Salimulla, the Nawab of Dhaka, who donated 600 acres of land from his estate for
University of Dhaka and BUET. Beside that Nawab Ali Chowdhury helped with land and money
a total of 38 educational institutions. Besides that, he also established high school "Nawab
Institute" in Dhanbari

Social Development time period of Nawabism: Social development is about improving the well-
being of every individual in society. It means people should get what they deserve by law or
norms. In the time period of Nawabism people are neglected by nawabs. Laws were not applied
to them. They make laws only for ruling to people. The took all wealth from people and use their
enjoyment. Their action for national development is defensive. The defensive approach means to
defend a system against any particular attack using several independent methods. Nawab used
defensive approach for their country. Because they have enough productivity, technology, and
education. But inside of their county, they used an offensive approach.

Human needs time period of Nawabism: It is concerned with the basic things which are needed
to live as a human being. It includes food, clothing, education, shelter Healthcare, freedom to
express the thoughts and justice and have no restrictions on daily activities.

Nawabs made people civilize. The made many educational institutions and gave the
opportunity to achieve a degree from another country. So people could live in a globalized
environment. And they also made many hospitals so people could get treatment.

But on the other hand, people have no freedom of expression and most of the time people could
not get the Justice.

Next side of that, people are not aware about their rights. There was no association among
them. They were not enough civilized. They had no education. They only thought for
themselves’. They were enough greedy to changed their mind when they found more money or
opportunities. Nawabs took those advantage and became monocracy which means they made a
system of government by one person.

Conclusion
If consider the whole Nawabism there are so many good thinks which had done by Nawabs.
Such as-
 Nawabs made many hospitals and schools
 They made people civilized
 They tough people the needed education
Beside those they have also negative sides. Like-
 They took many advantages
 They neglected people
 They took wealth from people and use those for their enjoyment
 They never gave those which people were deserved.
