Fallacy
Fallacy
Most patients consulting from a Rural Health Unit, even after being
referred by the Midwife Nurse, fails to make a consultation with doctors
who are qualified to make a diagnosis. This is due to their belief that nurses
have the capacity to give them a check-up even without a physician

Care Professional but has bounds of limitations in their role as a health ally.

RESOLUTION

qualified nurse in the field of patient health care and assure that she can

FALLACY
Most patient thinks that they can immediately stop taking their
prescribed medications right after they got better. After all, they believe that
they do not need the drug anymore because they are feeling better already.
Also, they have the feeling that the drug is not working anymore; that is
why they find it useless to buy the remaining number of medicine, and with
that, it can help them save money. And so because of this faulty reasoning,
it became the rightful duty and responsibility of the nurse to provide the
proper health teaching in order to educate their patients on the medications
that they have to take even after they go home. Appropriate health teaching
plays an integral part in the continuous recovery of the patients.
MALPRACTICE
The patient is being discharged and the nurse must educate and
explain to the patient about the drugs to be taken, but instead, the nurse
just gave the prescription to the patient and told the patient to buy the
medicines written on the prescription without any explanations.
RESOLUTION
The nurse should educate the patient about the medication, self-
administration procedure, and also the side effects because the nurse
should know his/her responsibilities and when he/she is reliable.
