Love Jihad

Love means lot of valuable emotions. Love is a bond between two hearts where
each one cares for the other’s emotions. It is above the caste, region, gender and
religion. But it is not accepted by our society as it disobeys all norms and rules of
the society. A couple also does this let us see what happens with their life.

Syed and Gayatri didn't mean to fall in love. But love happens when you least
expect it. It creeps up suddenly. When someone needs attention, care,
conversation, laughter and maybe even intimacy. Love doesn't look at logic, or at
backgrounds and least of all, religion.

Gayatri was from a very conservative South Indian family that went to a temple
every Saturday. Syed bought goats for his family every Eid. That said it all. Their
paths would never have crossed if it hadn't been for that fateful day. That day when
he walked into the coffee shop. Gayatri wondered if destiny chose our loved ones
for us. Did we have any role to play at all?

She looked at her watch. Syed was late. They met every Thursday at five pm to
catch up. Their conversation lasted for hours. Sometimes at the cafe, sometimes in
his car, sometimes in places that she could never tell her friends about. They would
never understand. And yet Syed made her happy.

Suddenly her phone beeped. He had sent a message. "On my way. Have something
important to tell you."

Gayatri stared at it and realised she had knots in her stomach. Thoughts flooded her
mind. What did he want to tell her?

Gayatri got ready for going to coffee shop and reached there in ten minutes,
followed by Syed. But someone else was also present there apart from them who
could create a trouble for them.

Syed was in a very hurry and was not able to explain what the matter was?
So she tells him to wait and get relaxed and tell what is the matter?

He explained that his parents want him to marry his uncle daughter’s the following
month but he paused for a while and said he loves a girl who is very precious for
her.

He took out a ring from his pocket and sits on his knees and proposed her for the
marriage. She nodded her head in the acceptance of the proposal as she was
waiting him to propose her.

It was a cherished moment for both of them. But as soon as they start to celebrate
she saw her elder brother in the coffee shop hiding behind the pillar. In order to not
create a scene over there she took leave from syed and went home.

Gayatri has got one elder brother named Sravan whom she loves s a lot and share
everything. This is for the first time she has hidden from him.

At home his brother didn’t tell anyone about her relationship with a muslim boy,
this made Gayatri amazed. She also doesn’t have courage to talk in front of her
elder brother.

That night proved to be a very long night for Gayatri. She got a message from her
brother to meet him in the terrace after everyone in the house was asleep.

They met in the terrace around midnight. Gayatri revealed all the truth about her
relationship with Syed and also how much she love him and can do anything for
her.

Sravan stopped for a while and asked from how long is all this going on?

She replied it has been a long time and no one knows about it.

He interrupts in between and yelled it’s good that no one knew. If it goes in anyone
ear they will cut you in pieces. You know all about the society in which we are
living.

He calms down and also makes her sure that she will not tell anyone.
Sravan a tall handsome guy has just completed his graduation from a well known
university and is going to Jodhpur for his career to get started. He is also in love
with his childhood friend Lata who is of same gotra, which is also a punishable
offence in their village. So they are planning to elope from the village as soon as
the Sravan got settled in his job. So they had hidden their relation from all.

Next day Sravan tell Gayatri he wants to meet syed. So they fixed up the meeting
at the same coffee shop.

Sravan was accompanied with Lata so the Gayatri asked about her. He revealed all
the truth and said I have a plan if you both agree.

They nodded their head and Sravan goes on. He said I will be going to Jodhpur
after 15 days. Syed can accompany him and once they get settled there. They will
call both and no one will be able to trace them as they will give them our fake
residence somewhere else.

Following this the syed marriage can also be postponed if he tell his parents he
want to go to city to do some work once he will be settled he will marry the same
girl they want to.

All were agreed upon and promise it to keep a top secret and left the place
separately so that no one is able to trace them.

After fifteen days as per plan both left from the village and met at Jodhpur.

Six months gone in vain. All were busy in their life.

Sravan was doing his work well and is settled in the company. Moreover syed
become a tourist guide over there and is earning good.

One day Sravan return home and took Gayatri with him for staying with him for
some days as he has food problem in there. So the parents send her with the
brother.

Now the problem is how Lata can be out of town under everyone’s nose.
So the solution also comes along. Lata cousin is going to marry next week and she
wants lata to accompany her for the shopping in the nearby town. Lata informed
Sravan about that and he was already in the town and both eloped from there after
shopping from over, by saying that she can go back alone and will come on
marriage with family.

All things are under control. Both the couple is happy and was living together.

Next week they decided to get married in the court as the application was already
submitted by duos. They got married and no one in the town was able to find about
them.

Both couples are living separately so no one can trace them but remain in contact.

Six months passed away. All were settled. Suddenly one day syed family calls
from the village asking him about his marriage decision. He again deny as he said
his financial condition was not ok so he need another six months for settling down.
They trust him and give him time.

Time was passing and Gayatri as well as lata got pregnant. So it’s the celebration
time for all. So they went to a restaurant party hard. All were happy. But……

One day when syed was at his work he saw one of his relative among one group of
the tourist who was with his family and did not like syed. His name was khan.

Syed got panic. He wants to escape from the place but the khan was more clever
than him and caught him. During talk he want to visit syed house as he was
smelling some fishy in Syed talks. But Syed denied.

So in the evening when syed was returning home he followed him and reached his
home and saw Gayatri in the house greeting syed as the wife do. He came back and
wants to confirm it from his parents about his marriage as he was not invited there
and had a check back. On the other hand Syed also called Sravan and want to meet
him to have a check on the matter.
Khan gave a call to syed home and it come into light that he family also not know
about the marriage and he gave them his address and phone no. and tell them to
come soon as possible.

On the other hand Lata parents also come to know that lata has eloped with Sravan.
So they are in search of duos.

Syed family rushed to Jodhpur and found him there. All were unaware of what I
going to happen next.

They recognized Gayatri as a Hindu girl and want to kill both of them after taking
them back to the home town next day by train. So they gave a strict round in whole
house and the situation was very serious as everyone knows about what they will
going to do with the couple.

In the night they get out of the scene by hiding from all the guards and visited
Sravan but one of the family member see him running away from the place and
informed others also about that o they decided to give decision in the Jodhpur itself
and called Gayatri family also and inform about the same.

They follow him and reached the Sravan house. They recognized him and inform
the family of Sravan and Lata also.

The entire ambience was full of nervousness and chaos.

Till the arrival of all family they tie both couple in room showing no pity on the
pregnant women’s also.

All family members arrived at the location and take the duos to the village under a
very tight security.

In the village a panchyat was called and the honor killing was decided for both in
front of whole village so that no other bothers to do the same as they have done.

The ladies of the village were showing pity for the pregnant ladies but when they
were thinking of what they have done they also turned out from there.

One educated person in the village was against all this but he was asked to be
remaining outside the matter as he is from other village and is working as a doctor
there. But he informed to police. The police come and arrested the doctor instead
of the panchyat. As they were also with the villagers belief.

Next day in the morning all the four people were hanged to the tree in the middle
of the village with the two unborn. All the mute villagers were the witness but no
one dare to speak out.
