The Christmas celebration in the US has its magic, thanks to Santa Claus, this Christian bishop at Santa Claus, and specific songs, most famous of which are "Jingle bells." The Americans decorate their homes with bright garlands and children cling to them some special fireplace stockings to receive the Santa Claus gifts that come through the sky with a sleigh drawn by nine reindeers and descend through the chimney. The Americans do not have a traditional Christmas environment. In general, they eat beef steaks, and aperitifs contain smoked salmon, prepared in different ways. The next Christmas day in the UK is called Boxing Day. A long time ago, on this day, people filled the boxes of mercy in churches with money for the poor. Currently, they are given small cadres or money to the postman, the newspaper vendor, and other people who have provided various services throughout the year. On Boxing Day, boys used to hunt at houses, shaking money in clay cans that, when they were filled, were crushed. During "Boxing Day", pantomime, play and coat plays performed on the street by costumed or masked people are popular. Christmas in Moldova. One of the pre-Christmas traditions is the slaughtering of the pig, which takes place on (December 20th). It is said that after this day the animal does not get fattened, so the peasants do not waste time. Once, the pig's blood was dried, crushed and used over the year to keep the children sick. Moldovans who do not post fast to eat the pig with the roast served with mallaliga and acra cabbage. On Eve, the rows of carolites go through the village to announce the birth of the Lord. Groups of children and young people go home from home and wish their health, joy and prosperity to the hosts, being rewarded with nuts, apples and cola. The older boys dress and walk with the goat, a habit deeply rooted in the village life. In Romanian tradition, the goat is considered an evil animal; it is said that when God created the sheep, the devil wanted to imitate him and made a goat. However, goat's play was included in the winter holiday ceremony, being associated with fertility and harvest wealth. Christmas is one of the most beautiful and cozy holidays for both children and adults.
