1. How do you properly wash your hands?


 You must use water and wet your hands thoroughly
 Use soap
 Scrub your hands, between your fingers, wrists, and forearms with
soap
 Rinse thoroughly
 Dry your hands with a single use towel or air dryer

2. What can a workplace do?


 Having an infection control plan.
 Providing clean hand washing facilities
 Offering waterless alcohol-based hand sanitizers when regular
facilities are not available
 Providing boxes of tissues and encourage their use.
 Be sure dishes are washed in soap and water after use.
 Removing magazines and papers from waiting areas or common
rooms
 Considering cleaning a person’s workstation or other areas
 Making sure ventilation systems are working properly.
