Year 3 Class Bulletin
Term 3 January 2011

Dear Parents / Carers,


I hope you all had a good Christmas Holiday. The children have been working hard so far this term and have
particularly enjoyed the Drumming and Singing Workshops during Music Week. There are lots of important dates
to keep track of this term so please make a note of all the exciting things that are happening!
• Wednesday January 12th – ‘Heroes Breakfast’ 08:00 in the Youth Club – All Male Role models are invited
to accompany children for breakfast. You still have time to sign up this evening at the school reception.
• Wednesday January 12th – all children are invited to dress up as their favourite ‘real life’ hero or
superhero. We are asking for donations of £1 per child. The money raised will be used to purchase
resources for a school in Swaziland, Africa.
• Friday 21st January – Whole school to Streatham Ice Arena ice skating between 10-3pm (Year 1-6).
• Week commencing 24th January: Writing Week.
• Thursday 10th February @ 10:40 YEAR THREE CLASS ASSEMBLY!
• Week commencing 14th February: Drama Week.
• Wednesday 16th February: Parents evening 3-7pm. To provide longer appointment times for parents,
school will be shut at 2.45pm.
• Friday 18th February: Last day of Term 3
• Monday 28th February 2011: First day of Term 4 and start of Maths Week.
• Year 3 will also be visiting Southwark Cathedral for a Stained Glass Window Workshop. Details TBC.
