3.1 What is philosophy of education and why should it be important to you as a


teacher? (2)
Philosophy in education refers to the philosophical study of various areas in education
which can be theoretical and practical it places a strong emphasis on learning about students'
experiences throughout instruction. Placing ourselves in our students' position allows us to
better understand the advantages of multimodal learning, educational resources, instructional
artifacts, and the significance of engagement.

3.2 What is the practical significance of philosophy of education to you as a


teacher? (3)
The practical significance of Philosophy of education to me as a teacher is that
philosophy in education does not only focus on the theory when it come to
education but it also focus on the practical such as sage or wisdom philosophy
which uses the people of the society or community as a primary source in
acquiring information ike events that happened in the past .
3.3 How does metaphysics, epistemology, axiology and logic factor into
philosophy of education? (5)
Metaphysics, epistemology ,axiology and logic are branches of philosophy that explore
fundamental questions about reality, knowledge, and values, respectively. Each has
educational implications that can influence how we understand and approach learning and
teaching .In addition these branches of philosophy can influence educational theories,
methods, and practices. Educators' beliefs about the nature of reality (metaphysics), how
knowledge is acquired (epistemology), and what values are important (axiology) will shape
their approaches to teaching and learning. It's essential for educators to be aware of their
philosophical assumptions, as these can impact their teaching style, curriculum choices, and
interactions with students.

3.4 Based on your insights related to the nature and essence of philosophy of
education and in shaping your own personal teaching philosophy, how will you
answer the following questions?

a. What is the purpose of education? (1)


The purpose of education is to provide, support, and teach students on how to carry out pg. 4
their own research and acquire the knowledge they need to meet the requirements for their
emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.
b. What content and skills should you teach? (1)

I believe I would do a great job teaching economics or social science as I
believe these two subjects are essential in developing learners critical
thinking skills and communication .
c. How should you teach this content? (1)
I would use different teaching strategies to accommodate all types of
learners in the classroom .
d. What are the proper roles of teachers and learners? (1)
A teacher in class is supposed to be the mediator they drives the learners
to the write direction in acquiring content and learners should be vesels
that come with their own preconsived knowledge that teachers can add on

e. How should you measure learning? (1)
Learning happens when something new like a skill is acquired .
