c.   What do you think is the most prominent virtue that made St.
Ezekiel Moreno as a perfect exemplar of the Augustinian-Recollect
charism in his missionary works in the Philippines? As a UNORian,
how will you imitate and practice the prominent virtue learned from
the missionary life of St. Ezekiel Moreno in your home and
community? Explain in five sentences.

The best, insofar as Recollect charism describes, was when his

congregation in Las Piñas opposed his transfer to Batangas. It
hugely reflects upon the saying by M.D. Arnold, “a good leader leads
the people from above them; a great leader leads from within them.”
For most of his time there his works catalyzed change not only on
the physical and spiritual aspects of life, but also internally; forging
new hope to wherever and whomever his’ influence touched. St.
Ezekiel Moreno gave a new meaning to community engagement,
and that was in order to lead the masses you must live amongst
them, to immerse yourself in their lives; a true epitome of Recollect
charism. As an aspiring social worker, the missionary missions of St.
Ezekiel Moreno is a standard by which we must look up to. St.
Ezekiel was unafraid to feed the hungry, to touch the poor, to hug the
diseased and to comfort the broken, no wonder the people did not
want him to go. St. Ezekiel Moreno is a true exemplar of how to
loose yourself completely in the quest to heal others, a man worthy
of sainthood indeed, an inspiration, and showing a level of
selflessness and compassion we, as future humanitarians, all should
aspire to follow.
