ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
A technique based workshop to use material undertanding to learn prototyping of bamboo. The
focus will be on learning tool skills and building techniques to eventually create a live scale
architectural exploration in bamboo. The workshop is about developing an ability to visualize
and articulate the structure through details. The emphasis will be on relationship of parts coming
together as an assembly through a series of details.

ABOUT THE PLACE:

The Youth Centre, also known as Peaceful City is a place where youth of all backgrounds can
collectively and constructively come together to work, learn practical life skills and play.

ELIGIBILITY:
Open to Students & Professionals from Architecture, Design and Building Sciences.

FEES:
Rs.12,000/- excluding food and accomodation
Rs.15,000/- including food and accomodation at The Youth Center

INSTRUCTORS:
Prasik Chaudhari is an architect graduated from CEPT University, Ahmedabad and co-founder at
Compartment S4. He did his training at Sen Sen Design, Delhi. With an ingenious ability to break
down any detail to its simplest form of assembly, he is called upon for construction queries every
now and then. His sense of clarity in making with different materials has developed through the
many workshops he has assisted and conducted.

Shyam Chaudhari, trained as an architect from H.N.G.University, Patan his passion for hands on
work grew after working in Siddhartha Das Studio evolving his design thinking towards the
possibility of a well articulated spatial experience. His most recent work investigates how design
technology positively impact and transform the present and future of our built spaces and thus
exploring and conducting workshops as part of his research work.
