Back Off Procedures Rig Up

1. Ensure spaced out for placement of Kelly Cock @ Rotary Table & long
elevator links fitted prior to engagement of overshot.
2. Use Top Drive for working left hand torque down hole to back off depth.
3. 75% of make up torque to be worked down, as string may be over torqued.
4. Once happy set slips in table with table locked.
5. Use small 1 tonne sling & shackle sling on slip handles.
6. Attach break out tong on tool jnt & take bite ( sensor to be fitted ). Have
chive rigged up with tugger to break out tong handle & hold tong bite with
tugger. This is to catch any release of torque from slips. ( All slips Dies, tong
dies to be sharp, snub line & shackles to be checked. Change out as necessary
)
7. Rig up wireline. RIH.
8. Once CCL done & string shot positioned across tool jnt, engage make up
tong & pull torque out of slips & hold with make up tong. Unlock table &
transfer torque from make up tong to break out tong.
9. Once torque held on break out tong pick up string & remove slips.
10. Hold string @ back off wt with break out tong & fire shot. Take some slack
with tugger on handle.
11. POOH with string shot.
