Paraguay has a long history in the world cup, but it has a particular tournament that was awesome. My
favorite world cup was South Africa 2010 because there are a lot of good facts that make it memorable.
I have a lot of fact to talk about, Paraguay beaten by several huge and competitive teams in different
world cup, games exiting, an animal predicting games results, girls becoming so famous putting cell
phone between her breasts and games with amazing definitions by penalties!

The first World cup that I have in mind is France 98, the game of Paraguay and France searching a place
in the quarter final, I remember that goal against Chilabert in the sudden death that put us outside the
world cup. Similar case happened in South Africa World Cup against Spain when we lost the game by
penalties and Spain step to the semifinals. How to forget Tacuara penal! In both cases, the winner, won
the World Cup!

I remember the Paul octopus in South Africa 2010, it was the official animal that predicted all the games
result and it has lucky doing it. He predicted the Argentina eliminations in quarter final, Spain stepping
to the semifinals and others.

And how to forget about Larizza Riquelme! She becoming so famous putting her cell phone between her
breasts in Asunción during the games of Paraguay. That was enough to go travel around the world
speaking well or wrong about Paraguay. She has a lot of polemic declarations, some of the most
remembered was: ‘In Paraguay there are just 6000 inhabitants’’.

South Africa is until now the most interesting world cup for Paraguay that is in my mind, maybe soon we
can have others exiting things to talk in the world cups histories!
