Keep Your Brain Busy and

Sharp During School Breaks!

❑ Play a board g ame or a card ❑ Expl ore some online


game with your family or learning sites and try some
friends di fferent activities
❑ Read for 20 minutes each day ❑ Write down the

• I send this home with my students during vacations, such

as Thanksgi ving Break, Winter Break, or Spring Break.

• These are not requi red acti vities by any means, but

someti mes littles ones (and thei r parents) want something

to do during extended breaks from school.

• Instead of sending packets of work that take my ti me,

energy, and resources and may not even be completed by

students, this is a si mple one-page list of ideas and

suggestions that they can do as much or as little of as they

want!

• Having “teacher-assigned” acti vities often helps families

keep up study routines during ti me off from school.
