What is the impact of St. Benedict and the Benedictine communities to the world?

Saint Benedict made a huge contribution to the rise of monasticism or to fully develop oneself to
spiritual work influencing the Catholic and Western Europe. The way Saint Benedict shaped the
belief of others to live in a monastic life taught all Christians in Europe to live a communal life.
At the same time, performing the qualities of obedience, humbleness, and to always do prayer.
The fact that Saint Benedict's holiness achieved his goal influencing others' beliefs many
disciples were attracted to do the same and wanted Saint Benedict to become their abbot.
Wherein, many novices trained by Saint Benedict had turned to be successful monks.
The impact of Saint Benedict and the Benedictine community is still relevant today as Saint
Benedict's teachings have led to the establishment and development of Monastic schols and also
the establishment of Benedictine churches.
Today more than 25,000 Benedictine men and women around the world follow the Rule of
Benedict; these beliefs helped us to believe that we should always put God before anything else.
Sharing prayers and thoughts will unite us to do communal worship. Showing love towards
others and promoting the goodness of the church to our society.
