As we pray for State missions this month
and our missionaries state-wide, I hope you
will also give an offering to the Janie Chap-

implore you to serve and minister to the peo-

you serve them and the Holy Spirit opens the

their spiritual need, by telling them about Je-

may have us confined, but it hasn’t taken
away the Lord’s expectation that we be His
witnesses and make disciples who will follow
Him. “Together,” we can accomplish our
goals for the glory of the Lord God!
On Saturday, September 26, A National
and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance
called “The Return” will be held on the Na-
tional Mall in Washington, D.C. People from

around the nation and world will be joining
together for a time of prayer and repentance
for our nation. We have been praying for our
nation every day since April 1 on Facebook
Live. We have been asking the Lord to heal
our nation physically and spiritually. I want to
invite you to join me on Saturday, September
26 at 12:00 Noon on the lawn in front of our
Youth Building for a group time of prayer and
repentance for our nation. We will wear
masks and social distance as we cry out lo-
cally to our Lord God while our brothers and
sisters are crying out to Him in Washington,
D.C. Our nation is in desperate need of re-
pentance and healing. I believe it will come
when God’s people let it begin in them. Plan
to join me on Saturday, September 26 at
12:00 Noon.

On September 27, we will have a lunch
fellowship after morning worship. Our Wom-
en’s ministry is going to prepare lunch and
serve it in “to go” boxes. You may eat your
lunch in the fellowship hall, or take it home if
you prefer. If you would like to participate in
Sunday, September 20. You may sign up on
the sheet located on the Lord’s Supper table
in the sanctuary or you may call the church
office. This will be our first opportunity to fel-
lowship together since the virus outbreak,
and we will be taking the necessary precau-
tions to keep folks safely distanced and com-
fortable as we enjoy each other’s company. I
hope you will plan to join us for worship and
lunch!
Taylor McClure, one of our members who
is now the head pharmacist at the Edgefield
CVS, will be offering Flu shots to anyone who
wants one on Sunday, September 27 after
morning worship. If you would like to receive
the shot, just bring your ID, Medicare card
and/or any insurance card. Taylor will file
everything with Medicare and your insurance.
If you don’t have any insurance, she will give
you the shot for $25.00. Please sign up on
the sheet on the Lord’s Supper table in the
sanctuary or call the church office no later
than this Sunday, September 20. When you
sign up, please indicate if you are in the 65+
age range. Taylor will be bringing vaccines
for those below 65 and those 65 and above.
She needs to know the number of people in
each group in order to bring the proper
amount of vaccine.
Our plan for Trunk & Treat this year is to do
a “drive-thru” Trunk & Treat for our communi-
ty. We will put candy in individual bags and
pass them out to children as their parents
drive them through our parking lot. If you
would like to help with this ministry, you may
donate candy, or if you prefer, money for us
to purchase candy, at anytime until October
25. You may bring your donations by the of-
fice. Monetary donations should be placed in
an envelope marked “Trunk & Treat” when
they are turned in to the office. Thanks for
your participation in this ministry opportunity
to our community.

presented motion to elect personnel to posi-
tions as listed on handout. Motion carried.
Property Committee recommended the air
conditioning unit in the Fellowship Hall be
replaced at a cost of $6, 975 by Bragg Heat/
Air.
Property Committee made motion to sell the
church bus and investigate replacing it with
a vehicle which would not require a CDL li-
cense to operate. Motion was carried to au-
thorize the Property Committee to research
sale or trade-in.

November 2020.
