Greetings students and parents! On September 22 at 10:30 all HISD high school Magnet programs will virtually visit
our campus through Microsoft TEAMS. Below you will find instructions on how to navigate the virtual high school
visit.
1. To get started view the video by clicking the image or link below to see an introduction to the Smart
Choice application system and other important information about high school programs and how to
apply.

2. Review the selections for high school Magnet programs below. Each high school Magnet program has
a specific theme and focus. Please use the coordinator email and website link to learn more about
programs that interest you. Use the “Join the Meeting” link on September 22 at 10:30 to virtually
visit with Magnet coordinators.
3. After the virtual visit, please visit ChooseHISD.com to begin your application.
Students participating in a Career Magnet program study one of many career-based themes which prepare
them for college study in the same major or certification area.

Early College High School’s provide students the opportunity to receive a high school diploma
and an Associate degree or up to two years of college credit. Students take a mixture of high
school and college classes in order to obtain their high school diploma and Associate's degree.
