What are the different problems of agriculture (farming) and fisheries in the Philippines?

Both agriculture and fisheries the Philippines are experiencing several problems. On the side of
agriculture, problems are conversion of farmlands to recreational and entertainment grounds,
reliance of the farmers to chemical-based fertilizers (pesticides) and insufficient funding for
proper irrigation system. Such problems resulted to the declining situation of the agricultural
sector of the country. While on the fisheries side, problems are the following: destruction and
pollution of marine resources and habitats, mangrove forests destructions, siltation, and
especially, overfishing. The aforementioned problems caused increase in flooding and
deterioration on the value of fish catch which led to fishermen having low income.
