RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the recommendations offered by the researcher based on the

summary of the investigations conducted and the conclusions arrived at.

Recommendations

Based on the summary of the research conducted and the conclusions arrived at,

the researcher offered the following recommendations:

1. School Administrators should sustain the school culture in which teachers and staff

tell stories of celebrations that support the school’s values. They are also encouraged

to conduct activities and communication opportunities for teachers and staff.

2. Teachers should sustain the design, selection, and use of diagnostic, formative and

summative assessment strategies consistent with curriculum requirements, as well as

the application of knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching areas.

Also, they are encouraged to select, develop, organize, and use appropriate teaching

and learning resources, including ICT, to address learning goals.

3. It is also recommended that teachers be more aware of the existing culture in their

schools so that they can adjust and adapt personally and professionally.

4. Students and parents should be greatly encouraged to evaluate the existing school

culture and contribute to its improvement though cooperation with school authorities.

5. School administrators and educational planners are recommended to devise a program

for capacity-building on school culture and classroom instruction. It is also

recommended that the proposed ATL Program be evaluated for possible

improvements and implementation.

6. It is recommended to conduct a follow-up study with in-depth and wider scope so as

to validate the findings obtained in the study. This study could be conducted on

students and parents, as well, to include student and parent perspectives on school

culture and teachers’ classroom instruction.
