DEDICATION

This is for those who stayed and those who came back.

This is a salute to the Catholic school teacher – for your resolve to accomplish tasks despite

the lack of resources, for your fortitude during trying times even as your strength falters, for your

commitment to Catholic education in spite of much better opportunities, for your love of teaching

regardless of the sacrifices required.

This may be a minuscule gesture on my part – an appreciation for your willingness to give

much of yourself – but it comes from a heart that abounds with joy and contentment. I know you

are with me as we bask in delight knowing that Catholic schools will live on long after we are

gone. We are part of these great institutions, and we are part of that greatness that inspires learners

to reach their highest potential.

And so, if and when the time comes that your faith is tested, I hope you remember this –

you are a Catholic school teacher, now and always.
