Situation 1: You and two of your dormmates are tasked by your mother sister to clean your dormitory. One is assigned
to wipe the windows, arrange the shelves and beddings while the other two will scrub the floor. If you can finish
scrubbing the floor in 15 minutes, dormmate 1 can finish the same job in 18 minutes and dormmate 2 can do it in 20
minutes, who among you is the best pair to be assigned to scrub the floor? Why? Explain thoroughly the reason of your
choice.

Situation 2: You are a participant of a cycling event in your province for the annual fiesta celebration. You race a total
distance of 90 km. During the race, you won the first place followed by participant 2 and participant 3 who won the
second and third place, respectively. If your average speed during the race is 10 kph faster than participant 2 and you
finished 18 minutes earlier than participant 2 while participant 2 finished 12 minutes ahead of participant 3, what is your
average speed and the other two winners during the race? Your cousin, also a cyclist, failed to participate the event due
to his injury could have finished the race in one hour and 15 minutes. Will he be able to change the ranking in the race?
If yes, state the reason and present the ranking.
