lost his job he left our family. As a consequence I moved to live with my aunt Mimi and my uncle
George. I have three sisters. The film 'Nowhere Boy' tells the story of my life until I formed The Beatles
with my friend Stu Sutcliffe. _________________

My mother bought me a guitar at Frank Hessy's music store to form my first group, The Quarrymen, in
1956 for my 16th birthday. _________________

In 1957 my mother Julia was killed by a speeding car when crossing the road after visiting me at my
