CARE OF MOTHER, CHILD, AND ADOLESCENT (WELL CLIENTS)
LEOPOLD MANEUVER SKILLS LABORATORY

Guidelines:
 Each student should report on or before 8:00 AM to their respective RLE
Clinical instructor for attendance keeping.
 Each group should bring their respective pregnant clients (7-9mos AOG) an
hour prior their schedule time for their preliminary assessment.
 Clients should be well informed regarding the course of the whole
procedure (Gordon’s Functional Health Pattern, Head-to-Toe Assessment &
Leopold Maneuver) and have consented to participate in the activity.
 Each group should bring the following:
 Lubricating gel (at least 2 sachets)
 Tape measure
 Alcohol
 V/S Paraphernalia
 Assessment Form
 The group should facilitate the transportation and snacks of their client.
 A token of any kind that is useful for the client and/or for her baby shall be
given after the activity.
 Requirement: Nursing Care Plan – OPT Model to be presented the
following day.
