Solution of the questions

Activity
Solve the following questions:
1. What is an electromagnetic wave?
Electromagnetic waves are the combination of waves in electric and magnetic
fields produced by moving charges. That is, what ripples in electromagnetic
waves are electric and magnetic fields.

The creation of electromagnetic waves begins with a charged particle. This

particle creates an electric field that exerts a force on other particles. As the
particle accelerates, it oscillates in its electric field, which produces a magnetic
field. Once in motion, the electric and magnetic fields created by the charged
particle are self-perpetuating, this means that an electric field that oscillates as
a function of time will produce a magnetic field and vice versa.
2. What are the parameters in an electromagnetic wave?
1-The frequency: defines the number of waves that are transmitted in a
second.
2-The speed: as we said it is always the same since it is independent of the
frequency. This speed is equal to the speed of light (300,000 kilometers per
second).
3-The wavelength: which is the result of dividing the speed of propagation (the
speed of light) by the frequency. The result is expressed in meters.
3. What is electrical permittivity ε and magnetic permeability μ of a medium?
Permeability
In physics, magnetic permeability is called the ability of a substance or
medium to attract and make magnetic fields pass through it, which is given by
the relationship between the existing magnetic induction and the intensity of
the magnetic field that appears inside. of said material.
The magnitude thus defined, the degree of magnetization (non-permanent
magnetization) of a material in response to a magnetic field, is called absolute
permeability and is usually represented by the symbol μ:
where B is the magnetic induction (also called magnetic flux density) in the
material, and H is magnetic field intensity
4. From the following wave equation:

2π ^
(
E y ( x , t )= A sen ( wt−kx ) ^j = A sen 2 πft−
λ )
x j=C1 sen ( C 2 x 103 t−C 3 x ) ^j

(
E y ( x , t )=4 sen ( 2000 t−7 x ) ^j =4 sen 2 π (318)t−
(0,9) )
x ^j=4 sen ( 2 x 10 3 t−7 x ) ^j

where C 1 , C2 and C 3correspond to the last 3 digits of your identification.
