Globalization has imposed interdependence not only between differen geographical areas
but also between different economic, technological, social and cultural realities Worldwide.
The blurring of temporal boundaries, spatial, sectoral and discursive developments
together with the evolutions technological and the transformations it is undergoing the
Spanish civic and political panorama invites us to address two central questions: ¿how to
communicate the loca l in a Global world? How to transfer the global to a sale local?
SUMMARY
This article analyzes the impactes of globalization processes on the way in which public-
private relations developed in modern times. Specifically, the document accounts for the
configuration of political and institutional scenarios that privilege private and commercial
logics over public ones, thereby displacen the State and the idea that it represented public
interests, or served as an instrument for processing them. Within globalization, however,
these processes manifest themselves in an uneven and contradictory manner. Different
ways of articulating the local, national and global are generated and conflict is one of the
fundamental characteristics of this process. In this analysis a political and sociological look
is used; however, a perspective from political philosophy runs through the entire text.
International communication is the name given to a field of research that includes various
forms of interaction globally, including global communication via mass media, intercultural
communication, and telecommunications policy. Therefore, by its very nature, international
communication is an interdisciplinary field of study that uses concepts, research methods,
and data from areas as diverse as political science, sociology, economics, literature, and
history.
The commercialization of mass print media (due to steam engine technology) has led to
internationally operating news agencies. international communication between France,
Germany, and Great Britain with their colonies in Africa and Asia.
