Compare and Contrast essay task

Similarities:
Taking care of our nature is important, as it provides us with everything we need to survive. But
sadly, humans has been ruining all these blessings that were given by mother nature. Which is
clearly shown in both texts “MAN VS EARTH” uploaded by Prince EA (a video), and in “10 ways
humans impact the environment” by Interesting Engineering (an article). Both texts were
providing evidence and statistics to support their argument, as for an example from the written
text “Pollution is so bad that to date, 2.4 billion people do not have access to clean water
sources.” Which portrays the use of Logos (supporting an argument using statistics). Which was
also found in the visual text, literary in the first sentence “Fun fact. Earth is 4.5 billion years
old”, which is the use of logos technique. This impacts the reader by making him feel that this is
a trusted source, which increases the impact that the text has on the reader, making him feel
that this source is trusted, and reliable. Which is clearly found in both sources. Moreover, the
use of these statistics helps in showing how serious this problem is. Both texts are similar since
they are sharing the same idea and the same problem. This shows that both sources had the
same intention which is to raise awareness about the negative impacts that we are doing on the
environment.
