Task Project Information

Project Finish Date


Go to Project tab click on project information then
select arrow on schedule from and change to
project finish date and set the date you want to finish
the project and it sets automatically dates for all the
tasks based on the finish date set.
SO YOU SET PROJECTS BASED ON THE START DATE
OR FINISH DATE on a particular date

To scroll and view tasks details


To scroll
Go to Task Bar select task you want to scroll and
click on scroll to task button . It brings the chart
of the particular task on the screen to show on
the Gantt Chart. So if you have a lot of task you
can use scroll button to do that
To View Details
Go to Task bar select task you want, then click on
details to show task details form for certain
task below the screen

Constraints Type

Go to Task bar select the task and click on


Information button or double click on the
task item you want to show information of the task
and then click on advance and then select
constraint type:
As later as Possible
Finish No Earlier than or Finish no Later
Must Start On or Must Finish On
Start no Earlier Than or Start No Later Than

Constraints Type
As later as Possible
Project forces task to start on the last date possible,
so the tasks ends no later than the END DATE
Finish No Earlier than or Finish no Later
Project makes sure that the task finishes no sooner or later
than a date you supply
Must Start On or Must Finish On
Project forces the task to start or finish on a date we supply
Start no Earlier Than or Start No Later Than
Project makes sure task starts no sooner or later than
supplied date

Deadline of the Tasks and Timeline


Deadline
Go to Task Bar then task information and then click
on advance and select deadline
The deadline mark will show on the Gantt Chart screen and
when you move the cursor to it, it will show deadline of the
task
Timeline
Go to View Bar then click on the Timeline and it will show
the start to finish of the project.
Click again the Timeline to remove from the screen

Resources
RESOURCES – anybody is a resource like
programmer, plumber, electrician, laborer and
others
You can track all of the resources
From Task Tab click on Gantt Chart pull down
menu bar and select Resource Sheet
Then enter all the resources for the project
Resource name
Type of resource
Rate
Regular rate
overtime

Resources Types
Work
Usually means People, based on time
Material
Based on some unit of measurement, per /sq. ft. ex 1 tile
or paper 10 cents a paper
Cost
Cost are incurred which are not depend on amount of
work or duration. Like taxi fare, hotel’s day and others
Cost can be Accrued At either
Start (of the task) - End (of the task) - or Prorated
(distributed evenly over the life of task)

Resource Sheet Information


Resource Name
Type of Resource –
Work - 100% for 1 person and 200% for 2 people
material - can determine how much tiles to be used
cost
Standard Rate
Overtime Rate

There is another way to enter the rate of the worker.


Will be shown on the project discussion.

Assigning Resources to task


Go to Task Bar task information resources
then use arrow down to select resource name
then click ok
Name of the resource will show on the Gantt
Chart. Double click again on the task item and will
show how much cost for that resource added.
On the constraints info
click on the task item info then on the advance and
change it to work driven then add another resource
and see the result on the Gantt Chart

Adding Fixed Cost


Click on the upper right corner of the screen
where you can see this icon on the right side to
highlight the screen. Then right click on it and
select cost then fixed cost column will show up on
the screen and select the task item you want to
add the cost to it.
On this screen you can see the overall cost of the
project. And as you add cost on each task the
total will automatically shown on the screen.

To see the cost of each resources


From Task Bar Gantt Chart right click on
the upper corner of the table and then select cost
to show the cost associated to each resources.
Right click again on the upper right corner and
select entry to go back again to the resource
sheet information.

Vacation of the Resource


Say one of the resource will go on vacation or their
base rate will change
From the resource information double click on the
resource name then change working time then
add the exception name like vacation from start
to end time.
If you want to set also if they want to work on their
off day you can go to work week and change.
That is if you want somebody to work extra hours.
There will be an impact if he is on schedule for the
days. To check go back to Gantt Chart to see
changes on the project

Things can be done on Resource


Information
Details - click the icon and will show details below
the screen and click again to remove
Notes - can add notes on each resource , you
can add files or work on other info like fonts and
others

Rate Change of the Resource


From the resource information double click on the
resource name then go to cost and add the
exception to the cost and select effective dates
change the standard rate and the overtime rate
then click ok
Changes of the rate will be applied after the date
that you applied for the new rate
