FIRE ENGINEERING SCIENCE

CONTENTS:

Unit I

Combustible Solids, Physical and Chemical properties of Combustible Solids, Wood, Grass, Fibers,
Cloth, Paper, Rubber And Plastics, Magnesium, Zirconium, Sodium And Potassium, Zinc, Aluminum
Etc. Flammable /Combustible Liquids :Physical and Chemical properties of Flammable / Combustible
Liquids.

Unit II

Exclusivity and flammability range, Auto ignition temperature, Spontaneous combustion,


Combustible Liquids Oils And Condensate, Paints, Thinners, Lacquers, Fuels, Solvents, Chemicals,
Petrochemicals, Alcohols, Hydrocarbons, Classification of petroleum liquid as per NFPA Combustible
Gases: Physical and Chemical properties of toxic or infectious, corrosive etc.
