Writing Exercise
Choose one situation and 4 items from the list. Write a 6 sentence paragraph about how you
would use these items to survive in your chosen situation. Elaborate a topic sentence and a
conclusion.

If I were in a desert and with the van ruined and without cell phone signal, I would need 4 basic
things, water to avoid dehydration, snack foods for the time I am stranded, a flashlight to signal
and a radio to pick up signals and communicate to ask for help, I have never been in that
situation so I consider that the best thing in this scenario would be to stay calm, organize what I
have so that it can last long enough in conclusion these objects would help me survive until
someone finds me in the desert.
