“Zoology, eh? That’s a big word, isn’t it?” “No, actually, it isn’t,” said Tiffany. “Patronising is a big word.
Zoology is really quite short.”

Another title from the Discworld series, this is the second book that
follows the protagonist Tiffany Aching and the Nac Mac Feegle.
In this adventure, Tiffany leaves home to apprentice with an older
witch named Miss Level (who has 2 bodies). Tiffany expects training
in spells and potions to take up all her time, but instead she winds up
doing chores, cooking, and even trimming an old man’s toe nails!
But, when Tiffany is attacked by a hiver (a monster who takes over
her mind), she must discover her own identity as a witch and save
herself.

On Discworld, there are two types of magic: the magic of witches and the magic of
wizards. Witches are always girls and wizards are always boys and no one had better
try to say different!
That is until Eskerina Smith comes along. At the death of Wizard Drum Billet, the
8th son of an 8th son would take up his magical mantle and the Smith family of Bad
Ass was about to welcome their seventh son to the family. Unfortunately for
everyone, Esk wasn’t born a boy and wasn’t going to apologize for it or for having
access to wizardly magic!
This hilarious book explore Esk’s journey to understanding magic and the magical
universe around her. As her talents break social barriers, her antics and those of
Granny Weatherax, her guardian witch, poke holes in the social fabric of time and
space! A great read!
