METHODOLOGY
• This research is a research with descriptive
quantitative approach with survey method
• The research was conducted in 4 elementary
schools in the Bengkayang Region with
different levels of accreditation, namely
schools with accreditation level A,
accreditation B, accreditation C, and not yet
accredited

Methodology
Subject The subjects studied were teachers, students, and school
environmental conditions

Data were collected using observation techniques, distributing

Data Collected questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies from related
documents regarding the use of technology in learning.

Furthermore, the data that has been obtained is classified and

arranged so that quantitative analysis can be carried out.
Data Analysis Furthermore, the data that has been obtained is classified and

Results
Teacher Readiness
• The interviews showed that most teachers had difficulties when Percentage of Technology Usage
asked to do online learning and use technology in learning.
• Interviews conducted with teachers in elementary schools with
different accreditation levels, namely Elementary schools that Had Ever 35%
have: accredited A, accredited B, accredited C, and
unaccredited, indicate that the main obstacle experienced by
teachers is the unpreparedness of teachers in implementing
digitalization in learning, in addition to the unequal network Had Never 65%

which is also a problem.

• Based on the teacher's experience, it was known that of the 20
teachers interviewed, 13 of them stated that they had never Had Ever Had Never
applied technology to learning. The use of technology is only
limited to using laptops in making questions, lesson plans,
syllabus, and printing report cards.
Figure 1. Percentage of Technology Usage
• If it is a percentage, the experience of teachers in applying
learning technology is only limited to 65%.

Results
Teacher Readiness
Online Learning/Distance Learning The level of technological literacy in
teachers, shown in Figure 2, shows that
2
teachers' technological literacy is still not
maximized and is in the range of low
category values. These results indicate that
teachers need to improve their competence
1
in terms of technological literacy to design
Teacher Competence Supporting Facilities
and implement technology-based learning.
The low level of teacher literacy will also
impact the inhibition of digitalization in
0
the education sector. Therefore, mastery of
technology is essential, especially in the
current era.

•The level of student literacy is also measured to
determine whether students can accept online
learning or the use of technology as a medium to
impact the success of the learning process.

Results
•The level of technology readiness on the
student's side also needs to be measured to be
used as a teacher reference in using technology

Student in the learning process. The results of any

questionnaire show that of the 24 students in 4
different elementary schools who became

Readiness respondents, the average score was in the range

of 1.2 to 1.8. From the student's perspective, the
level of technological literacy was measured
through 3 indicators where the score for each
indicator shows a value that was classified as
lacking.

• The third component studied is the environment;
in this study, the environment in question is the
school environment and student residences that
act as a place for students to study, especially
during the Covid-19 pandemic, learning

activities were more often carried out at home
than at school.
• Therefore, to see whether technology-based
learning can be carried out, it is necessary to

Environmental study the environment for students to learn.

• The measurement of environmental readiness in

Readiness welcoming technology-based learning was

carried out in 3 stages: observation and
distributing questionnaires to students.
• Furthermore, the research findings are reviewed
and codified so that the data obtained can be
measured in terms of technological literacy
readiness.

Conclusion
•In reality, most schools in Bengkayang are not ready to

enter or meet this online learning.

•The analysis results show that teacher technology literacy
is still relatively low.
•It makes the technology-based or digital-based learning
process tricky or complicated, considering the teacher is
not ready.
•In addition, the measurement of literacy levels was also
carried out on students, where the results show that the
level of technological literacy of students is also low.
•The third aspect is the environment; the level of
environmental readiness based on the results of data
analysis is at a percentage score of 48%; this indicates that
most of the environments in the Bengkayang area need to
be improved, especially in terms of networks and
electricity.
•Based on these results, the overall level of use of
technology in Bengkayang is still relatively low, so efforts
to increase technological literacy need to be carried out
immediately, considering technological developments are
constantly increasing.
