1.0 Problem Analysis
1.1 What is your systems of interest?
As a member of the digital learning team I am interested in teaching DeKalb
County teachers how to use the learning management system Verge to
effectively create an assignment for their students. I also will like furthest event
which in this case are the teachers of DeKalb County to effectively integrate
VERGE in weekly lessons.
Resources Available
All of the teachers have desktop in their classroom and they all have a personal
Chromebook. All of the students in grades second through fifth have one to one
Chromebooks.

3.2.1 What data would you collect?
I would Survey the teachers immediately from the professional development and
I will also touch basis with the instructional technologist to ensure the
teachers are creating the assignments and they are posted in Verge .

I will collect that information by using a survey a pencil paper survey and
would also collect the information from the regional instructional
technologist.
3.3 What are the discrepancies between current (actual) and desired (optimal)?
One training is simply not enough To expect to exist to be proficient in the skill The
teachers need ongoing support for the task.
3.4 What priorities can you assign to the identified discrepancies or goals?

5.0 Learner and Context Analysis
5.1 What is the target population ?
The target population Is 8 K through 5 teachers at McLendon Elementary. most of these
teachers are either new to McLendon Elementary or new to the district.
5.2 Describe how you would determine the characteristics of the target
population.
I would determine the characteristics of the target population by using A verbal survey. I
would ask this prior to the training. One thing I will ask is how often the teachers use
Verge and receive informal feedback. I would also ask is do they know how to log on
Verge.
5.3 Describe how you would determine the physical and organizational
environment.
I would determine the physical environment and organizational environment by considering
the students’ technology needs .

6.2 State the terminal objective for your instructional plan.
My terminal objective is that my students will be able to (B) create an assignment using
Verge.
6.3 Prepare 3 Subordinate Objectives for each SO domain.
6.3.1 Prepare one SO in the cognitive domain.

This objectives supports the motor skills domain with focus on knowledge ability

7.1 Assessments
7.2 Select one SO and describe the manner in which you would assess whether
or not the learner has achieved the goal.
In reference to SO goal ,”I would walk around and monitor during the training to
ensure that students are creating appropriate assignments using the
Verge platform. I will also stay after the training to give additional
support in answer any additional questions from the students.. I will
provide immediate and individualized feedback to students.
7.2. What type of assessment instruments will your instruction have ? Why?
My instruction will have electronic, and paper assessment instruments. The
electronic instrument will be the formative assessment as I am monitoring the
students progress using Verge. The summative assessment instrument would be
a survey completed at the end of the training. I will also follow up with the
regional instructional technologist in reference to any students that were not
able to complete their assignments and Verge.

Why is creating an assignment in Verge important for your learners?
Pre –Instructional Activity: The teacher will review Verge and ask teachers about their prior
knowledge of Verge.

I will provide the students with an exemplar of an assignment I created in
Verge. good students will create the assignments in burnt independently
using their Chromebooks. this students will also at groups and
differentiate learning using Verge.

10. Instructional Materials

I will deliver the pre assessment Verbally due to time constraints.
I would ask the following question :
1. How many teachers use Verge on a regular basis?
2. Raise your hand if you use Verge to complete assignments for your students?

To ensure the objective, “students will be able to create an assignment using Verge” is
met, I will walk around and monitor the teachers on their Chromebooks as well as model
step-by-step how to create the assignments using a ViewSonic touch screen board.
10.3. For the same SO, specify and defend your choice of appropriate practice
materials.
The students will practice creating Assignment using their Chromebooks. any support
that they may need I will model it using the ViewSonic Promethean board. I will also
train them how to create differentiated assignments for their students.
10.4 For the T.O., specify and defend your choice of an appropriate follow-through
materials.
I will circulate the room listening and monitoring To ensure that teachers are progressing
during the implementation of the assignment. I will touch bases with the regional
instructional technology when the assignments are due to ensure that the teachers have
submitted and effectively created a assignments for their students.
12. Revision
12.1. Describe your plans for revising instruction.
After analyzing the data I will revise instruction. Those students That haven't created an
assignment in verge of correctly will have an opportunity to come to a an additional
tutorial to receive individual support.
