What is the best way to understand reading passages? How do you overcome the problem?

I overcome the problem by learning and implementing reading strategies which can improve my
reading comprehension abilities and make reading easier. Because comprehension is an important
aspect of reading. By being able to comprehend what I am reading, i can extract meaning from the
text and better realize what the author is trying to convey.

1. What is the topic of the passage ?

The topic is some of the best strategies you can use to advance your reading skills. This
passage talks about to how to read faster while maintaining reading
comprehension. They are seven tips we can use to read faster. Previewing a
text before reading, determine the author’s goal in writing the material,
based on the preview, be focus, move my eyes in a scanning motion, don’t
have to read every section, write down a summary and more practice.

2. Do you find difficult words in the passage?

Yes, I do find some difficult words unless I check them in the dictionary. They are
peruse, slogging, jot down and regression. I finally manage them without opening
a dictionary, with the help of the surrounding words. To find out the meaning of a
difficult word, we can look and read the words around. These other words can
provide clues to guess what the word means.
